Where is the heater door actuator?

My Heater has stopped working. I figure there are two cases, the switch or the actuator that opens the coolant up to come into the heater. I took the whole heater controls into Rotary Performance and it checked out ok. Does anyone know where the actuator is located (or better yet a picture)?

Thanks,

Dan

Are both your heater hoses hot?

The controls on the dash control airflow, not coolant flow. Both hoses should be warm to hot.

Only one of them is. i think its the actuator that is not opening up to allow the coolant through the heater core

fd's dont have a valve they have a heater blend door to control temperature.

Booth hoses should be hot-if not a plugged core is most likely.

There is no coolant valve/actuator.

If only one is hot then it sounds like you have a coolant flow problem. Either a plugged heater core (have you used stop leak?), or possibly the vanes of the water pump have rusted away and it isn't pumping like it should be.
