Bad night...

I rarely drive my fd. So im going home late at night with a wide open freeway, i decide to have a little fun with the deprived baby. So im going a bit faster than i normally go and i hear a thud and immediately slow down. Pfc reports everything's fine and the car is boosting and driving like normal. So i slow down and continue on my way. Its only when i pull in my garage that i realize that my very expensive panspeed spoiler has ripped off the trunk. Man am i sick of dumping money into this car!

Non-spoiler FDs are sexier.

Yeah, the car puked to get that thing off of it.

Silly spoilers and wings and diffusers and all that other Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements that gets tacked on to cars.

On the other hand, if you like that sort of stuff (and really...who gives a **** if anyone else doesn't...it is YOUR car) it always sucks to have something lost or damaged.
Is the mounting area okay or did it suffer some damage too?

Hmm, i dont recall ever seeing a panspeed spoiler before.

DO you have any pics of it on the car when it was on the car?

I guess now you can go R1 spoiler.

I feel ya bro, I had a cf hood for a FB which was also rare and expensive. Drove too fast and it flew away, I went back like three weeks later and found it with tire marks and smashed to pieces.

haha, well the sti was behind me quite a ways, but it was around the 140's. Dumb i know, but didnt realize how fast i was going. I dont blame the installer who was dtm auto body (very well known for good work). The spoiler was on the car for over a year and never had a problem, but then again, i really dont drive the car fast. I have pics of the car on my profile on here.

Aren't those kinds of spoilers made for race cars (cars that are made to go fast)?

I'm not the only one who sees something wrong here.

Sorry to hear. Any FD injury is a bad thing. At least you have options for a different look now.

I think one of the only spoilers that looks good is the stock one...
