Engine sat for 5 Years
It's horrible to say, but yes, it has sat for that long. What all do I need to do to make sure this thing is ok and to bring it back up to par before I put it back in and try to start it up.

- Check for any dry rotted hoses.
- Check if the engine spins freely. Place a little penetrating lube on each rotor and allow it to soak for a little encase of rust on the apex seals.
- Check all intake runners to make sure nothing decided to make it a home.
- Replace oil. Possibly take off the oil pan to see it is dried up and the pump is working.
- Replace coolant (if there was any). Do coolant seals dry rot?
Any other ideas?

I was going to replace all the hose, planing on going single before i put it back in, that should save on allot of vacuum lines. I have all openings blocked off. I hope nothing decided to make its way in there. I have some stuff to do before I get to put it back in, i'm currently switching bodies. once i get that done i might get in touch with you rx8rcer09. Or before that.

If your planning to go single before starting it up pull it out and start your way back from it in a shortblock form.
2 stroke does wonders inside the internals so pour a decent amount through the spark plug holes or the exhaust manifold if possible, then turn over the engine via 19mm socket in the front pulley.
One thing i believe is commonly overlooked is sensors. Take the time to make sure all major sensors are within spec according to the fsm.
