Average miles before something breaks?

I was just wondering what you, as FD owners, would say your average miles are between something breaking? Because it seems like a lot of stuff does, but I know people wouldn't make posts just to say their car's running great (so it kind of throws it out of perspective). So would you say as low as 1k, maybe 10, 30, what?

Thanks

Really?

Seriously, it's gonna depend on the condition and mileage of the RX7 that you get. You can't just say that every 7 will have atleast "x" amount of problems within "n" miles.

Your question is pointless and utterly unanswerable. Stuff wears out and needs maintenance. There is no telling when one part out of hundreds is going to break. If you are that worried about it, this isn't the car for you.

Nearly 20k miles and I havent had a problem. Everything thats on its way out (tranny, turbos) still work and havent given me any issues. Depends on how you drive the car though.

After years of scientific research I have concluded that the average amount of miles in terms of inches before something breaks is:

437,183,999.99 Inches

I really don't see how it's unanswerable. I'm not saying that every one's going to be the same, and I'm not trying to be able to say "ok, it's been 5,000 miles, I should expect something to break." I was asking how long from you fixing something, does your personal vehicle break again. As in if something broke after 1k, then something after 7, then 4, the average would be 4k. I'm not even asking this trying to decide if I should buy one; I was just curious on what the consensus was.

But thanks anyways

my chassis has 120k miles on it and the only thing that broke so far is the door handle.

motor has around 15k with a downpipe and is running strong, absolutely no problems since day one.

The longevity of parts on the car will vary depending on driving style, a host of variables do to the user, and quality of those parts- these among other things. It really is tough to estimate intervals (by the mileage) of when parts break, without huge generalizations which render the question obsolete if you're looking for an objective answer. As the car ages, you'll just have to assume that parts of the car that see the most direct usage will most likely see the most wear, for example door handles, fuel doors, window motors, seats, dash controls/*****, etc. Its anyones guess (and luck) at when those will break though. On the mechanical end, you'll have to be more specific with your criteria. What part(s) exactly?

Just plan on one part per oil change. That way you're prepared.
