autometer make the only a/f gauge?
autometer make the only a/f gauge?
I looked through rx7store and other vendors and they are the only manufacturer that I can find. are there any others?
also, is the autometer unit a wideband sensor - does it mount in your downpipe? if not, how does it work. after the car related stress this week I have come to the conclusion that I need an a/f gauge in my car unless I can find a place that can do an accurate a/f reading at the dyno session.

Cyberdyne makes a cheap one, Haltech makes one, RX7.com has one, but I still choose the Halmeter. www.Halmeter.com
What is your intended purpose for the O2 meter? Any meter that reads the stock O2 sensor is not good for much more than knowing ball park readings. If you intend to get readings a little more accurate than this get a FJO, oz-diy wb, etc. I use the O2 meter in the J&S and then a oz-wb when I really care what is going on.
Do a search if you want to broaden the subject.

A/F meters are great if you like to look at flashing lights and rice up the interior of your car...........they are worthless - totally worthless. Your money would be better spent on countless other improvements.
Greddy makes a "near" wideband O2 that comes with its own O2 sensor. Has peakhold and warning. I believe it reads from 16 (lean) to 8 (rich) or some numbers near that - it's not digital and has a needle. Goes for around $300 retail and $200 used.

It's a replacement to the stock - 4 wire 02 sensor by the way.
Been on my car for 2 weeks. PM me if interested (I'm stepping up to the FJO w/mon setup at $1100 or so - why stop pouring money in now. Some have boats, I have an FD
I have to agree with some of the others on this one. If its using the stock O2 sensor forget about it!!! Its a pretty light show and a waste of money.
Unless its a wideband don't even bother, instead I would go with a EGT gauge. That would give you a better idea then the Autometer A/F gauge.
