Assometer Opinions?

Today, I ran a new G-35. I know they are not as fast, but they are not exactly slow either. But this point is, even though I still run away from almost all takers, my car feels slow to me. I think my assometer is no longer calibrated for this car.

Has anyone else gotten so used to your cars performance that you cannot "feel" it anymore?

You need to recalibrate your assometer by driving something slow for a week. Repeat as necessary.

I rotate driving through the three vehicles listed in my Sig... At first there was a huge difference. Now, I don't notice it. And I know the performance differences between the 88c, the Rodeo, and the 94 are years apart.

Getting the next mod, just sounds like a drug dealer come-on. Soon I'll be hooked on nitros and no matter what I do won't be able to get a high enough high.

I used to get a real kick out of that push back into the seat of the car, the sound of the spinning turbos, and the way the back of the car would squat when I pressed the go pedal. Now, my GF say "slow down" or something like that and I'm thinking - but were not even really moving!

Hey man when I get back down to SC, I'll take you in a ride in my truck. I ran a 10.5 in it. That was 0-60 time though. But yeah you can come ride in my truck and then when you get back in your 7 you feel like you're flying a rocketship. Or I could just trade you the truck for your 3rd gen, and you'll never have to worry about speed ever again.

I feel the same way.

I thought maybe my car was getting slower but then I went to the track when I first got it and then just a couple weeks ago and I ran a faster time so I must just be used to it. I think if you don't drive it for a few weeks then you will enjoy it. I'm going to try that probably.

be like me, since my car has been down for a month now. I've been driving a 1987 turbo diesel, I dont even think the freakin turbo works. My 0 to 60 is in the high 30's or possibly mid 40's. I know when I get back into the 7 I'm going to be creaming all over my self at the first taste of boost and *** cheecks being pressed against the seat.
