Hey guys, Ive searched. I am posibly picking up another fd that has a downpipe, midpipe, and apexi n1 single. Anyone know where I can get a sound clip or movie of the exhaust so I can actually hear it? The old exhaust sound thread all the links are dead Any help is appreciated.

 

I can give you a hint. LOUD!! Ask teamafx (Joe), he had that setup on his car for a while. It was insanely loud.

 

I love the way mine sounds, Ive got 3 1/4 to the apexi single catback which I believe is 3in, Its LOUD but its a good LOUD. If your buying it wouldnt you be able to hear it when you test drive it ?

 

I hear it sounds like ***.... I have the PFS though and love the way it sounds

 

Ill get ya a clip tommorow, if you dont hear it by then, btw im non sequential so it may sound a bit louder.

I wont be test driving it for another 3 weeks after it has a new tranny put in it.

 

this is my exact setup... i dont really have a way to host a file or anything but i am in Tampa (says you are in central i dont know where) but if you are in tampa or will be in tampa for anything shoot me a PM and i will just drive her within a mile of where you are so you can hear her... or if you want go outside right now and i will start her up... lol seriously though if you want to listen to her shoot me a PM...

since it has a MP on it, Yes it will be loud.
But with a Resonated MP or Hi flow cat the exhaust itself isnt too loud and has a nice tone.

 

i had duals with mp, sounded like a really big chainsaw on crack. sounds like a beast when you are going like less than 10mph in a parking lot or garage or close to buildings and definitely scares v8s and ricers away with a couple revs. WOT sounds awesome.

HOWEVER on the highway, you could be at 2-3k rpm and it drones like a mother. i used to have my dad start the car to warm up in the morning while i took a shower. i couldnt hear it, but i could FEEL it shaking the house. and this is all with it SILENCED. i think a slight exhaust leak and being ported and nonseq helped it to be louder... and i guess single is supposed to be louder?

im sure it will be quieter with resonated or hi flow...

 

The GT, N1, and N1 dual all sound the same.

 

Yea, WOT can be painful to people outside of the car or driving next to you with their window down

 

What about a hks Hi-Power? They as loud or sound good? The apexi sounds like ****.. i heard it today..

 

I have DP, Pettit resonated MP and unbaffled N1. People say its very loud when driving next to me when @ WOT, enough to have a ticket issued. It has a very deep tone at normal driving and a bit droning at freeway speed at times. Foot off accelleration is somewhat cop friendly and idle is just deep love.

 

ive got that exact setup, i tested it with a db meter at idle... 108 :P

 

I set off car alarms as i drive past cars in parking garages with my N1dual! To me, I like the sound, I don't think it's too loud, doesn't sound bad, but I wouldn't mind something a little quiter sometimes

I have the n1 dual and car alarms and cops seem to like it, and that is on a non ported motor w stock twins now the motor is ported but not running yet!! it should be sick loud

 

I bought a greddy evo.. Heard its supposed to sound great..

 

its not my style....i like a bit more mellow sounding...but still tough.

the n1 dual will rattle windows.
