Don't care what apex seal you run, if your not tuned right, your gonna blow the motor. The right seal helps, but the tune is the most important thing.
Agree 100%

The NRS ceramic 3mm seals are nice if you can afford it. They will seal just as good as OEM 2mm and make more power because they won't float or break at high rpm or boost. Only thing is if you use ceramic you BETTER have a great tune cause if you break the ceramic apex seals, they will destroy just about everything in your motor.

Will the 2mm ceramics give better sealing than OEM 2mm, as well as the other benefits?

Still not sure which way to go regarding 2mm or 3mm, tempted by the 2mm NRS for the better performance, and as I will have AI + prof tune feel it is a safe route. Provided they can make the 'stinger' springs for the 2mm....last time I looked they were still only available for the 3mm

If your going to go 2mm, then stick with OEM. Rice Racing is a dealer for NRS, give him a pm.

If its best to stick with OEM for 2mm, and 3mm ceramic seals aswell as 2mm OEM, think the desicion has been made for me Really want to go for a ceramic seal/cermet housing combo

Got nothing against 3mm, just heard 2mm give the best performance...although the extra strength of the 3mm was always very appealing

The R.A. seals that are in the motor are the classics, I had new housings and other seals installed. Great compression still on the front but something causing low compression in the rear. Have not opened the motor to investigate yet. Thinking a side or corner seal is the culprit. My tuner got me his price on the ceramic seals and coating so I couldn't pass this up. Read the Pineapple site and check out JHB's site. There are cheaper and reliable seals out there, I just like what I've read and heard about ceramic seals on cermet A. coatings. I'm also thinking you get what you pay for.

Right and wrong. Ianetti's do but not the NRS's.

If you can swing it the NRS's are the way to go. If you can't go OEM.
