is anyone using 4 individual coils from a different motor
i was at a drift event a couple weeks ago and the falken rx7 was using 4 coils from an LS1. the LS1 coils have ignitors built into them and i believe produce better spark than an amplifier like an MSD box. with these coils they said they were able to raise the boost on the GT35R they are running and not get ignition breakup and gained 60HP with new tuning. just wondering if anyone has tried this? i just purchased these coils and will be trying them on my T61 hopefully sometime soon.
My car has four Jacobs -C-4 coils with the newer and working AEM four channel C2 DI amp. The coils are good for 65000 volts .Better starting and idle ,no high end break up .

what's the ratio of the stock coils?
you mentioned that they were able to raise the boost...what were they running before and what are they running now?
I've got the new aem box too and at 15 psi on a 35r I'm good to go. That 535v to the primary, that's where the winding question stems from. If my math is good, you're only cranking out ~45k volts with the C4 coils.

The Jacobs paper reads that they are good for over 12000 rpm while delivering over 65000 volts to the plugs. I guess they are dumb or liers ,So I will remove them and find something better .Thanks for the info I will be calling them and asking for my money back .They should know better than to not state the true facts .
I will kill them but I must say the the spark from the other 45000 volt coils was not near as full , bright purple as the c-4 coils and the tester showes the c-4 to be hotter .All the work installing those four big coils for nothing . What a wast of time and money .

I'm on the stock coils and 9 plugs and wasn't able to run 15 pounds without an amp. I have no idea what the ratio is of the stockers, so I have no idea what I'm outputting. Anyone know?
