Yes, those wires are important, though the parking brake wire is optional. It's nice though, means nobody can take off with your car while it's timing.

I remember it being an unexpected color for an O2 wire... it was either brown or black. Check the wiring diagram in the instructions, but be sure you have everything lined up right.

I have the apex as well. I'm pretty sure the harness is universal, mine came in the hks package. I read on here that its really not nessascary to use the a/f ratio option, there was a good reason but I forgot what it was, searching might help on that. The other two wires is the ground, and parking brake wire. Use that last option, for extra security.

I hooked mine up a few weeks ago. If the tt just flashes, it is broken, send it back. The only wire of the three you really need to hook up is the black one, it just needs to be grounded, not neccessarily into the ecu. The white one is for the a/f and the other one goes to the p-brake.

ok guys.. for the turbo timer..

from what i herd and understand. if you are running a HKS type 0 , BUY THE HARNESS! ( and just ground the tt, and the parking brake... * life pannel where ash try is.. look on p-brake boot their should be a screw... take it off.. and follow it down.. theirs a Green wire that connectes to a spring type device. splice into that cable.. and connect that to the grey brown cable. connect that to timer. and just ground it after that..

for other timers! DO NOT CONNECT IT WITH ANYTHING ELSE!. will cause problems down the road!. buy the harness and ground it.. Turbo timer should work

also.. possible places to ground timer.
next to the crotch AC thing. to the left of that.. next to the hood pop up theirs a screw there... that touches metal.. ground it to that if you want. my turbo timer is on the drivers side.. on the wall.. near the clutch... gives it the sleek look..
