Another "Car Won't Start" Threads

I've had my car in storage over the winter and it hasn't been started for around 4-5 months maybe? not sure really. I had the battery unhooked and put some stabil in the gas tank. When i went to start it today the battery turns everything on (my car is all stock except ngk plugs and wires and greddy intake), the fans and intercooler starts running but the car won't start. When i have the key turned on trying to start it, it wont start and then when i turn the key off i can hear something turning, maybe starter went bad but i dont see how. It doesn't turn over to start everything just runs i guess thats how i can put it. There isn't any grinding just a turning noise. Any ideas, if i think of a better way to explain it i'll let you guys know. Thanks

your intercooler starts running? ... i suggest you look into that cuz your intercooler isn't supposed to have any moving parts.

you did check the battery right? it doesn't matter if it wasn't hooked up... it's likely it has enough charge to turn on the lights, but a starter draws A LOT of current.

i just meant to say that the fans turn on. Maybe i should just leave the battery on the charger for awhile.

Also, i am installing a dp shortly, i've been reading a lot the last hour, do you have to replace the studs in order to do this?? Do you have to take off the nuts and take out the studs, i got 6 bolts and 6 washers in my order. I'm fairly new to the rotary, just reading and trying to learn a lot more than i already know. Everything i buy to put on seems like its going to be a long project.

yeah, charging it a while might be a good idea. do you have a load tester on the charger or know someone with a tester? i'd give that a try too. just because you charged it doesn't mean it's going to work.

Your car won't start? Maybe someone is trying to kill you... Sorry, I was listening to Mitch Hedburg.

Don't fret. This is typical. When I bring mine out of mothballs the battery is never adequate to start it. I finally bought a battery charger with a rapid start feature. It's heavy duty and you leave it conected to the battery terminals throughout the statup attempts. It generally takes five tries but then fires up and after that the battery is fine. I think next winter I'm just going to start it up and run it for 10 minutes twice a week with the garage door open.
