Am I getting too deep...

Well it's about 20 mths since I inherited the 94 Rx7. First 18 mths I sat back and listen to members of this board. Thanks to their posts I was able to complete the following mods myself, which already saved me at least $862.00 in labor alone.

- Apexi intakes system
- Changing spark plugs (maintenance)
- HKS down pipe
- Defi boost & water temp gauge (in process)

In my quest for 300 whp, my next two mod for 05 are Apexi PFC (in the mail) & RB Dual tip catback. Hopefully this will be sufficient to support 12 psi on stock fuel system.

Spring 06 I would like a Greddy SMIC.

When I got this car...I told my mother that I will NOT monkey around with the 7. She loves the car...don't know reason she love it because she think it's a Vette or a RX-7 LOL!

With those mods mentioned...AM I GETTING TOO DEEP, just like my SC 408 cid Cobra that all apart now?

TIA

Happy Thanksgiving from Dallas, TX.

I would never run 12 psi with the base map that comes with the PFC(not even 10 psi).

Thanks. Before going WOT the car will be either tuned by Gothamracing or Rotary Performance. Gothamracing said 12 psi should be ok with stock fuel system with a "properly tuned" PFC. Whereas RP said an upgrade fuel pump is need to support 12 psi.

With background in supercharged mustang since 1994, melted a few pistons, blew at least 3 sets of head gasket...I do know too much boost & little fuel spell trouble. And high boost number doesn't necessary meant more hp.

eugh I agrre with every thing you said except higher boost usually in our cars does mean higher power. PS for 80$ I would buy the Walbro Pump check the GB Section 80 bucks common at least you know your safe!(not trying to promote that sale thats hwy i didn't mention shop name) Good luck!

My list seems like yours!

For this spring!

1-Apexi PFC w/comman
2-Apexi El Guages(5 of them)
3-Apexi Intakes
4-Apexi AST or Re Amemiya AST
5-Apexi N1 Dual or HKS Carbon Ti
6-Many mods directly from Re

So good luck, and good rotaring.

Alex

For a 3rd gen, yes. Try an FC or FB maybe.
