didn't say he SHOULDN'T... I'm saying there are a bunch of cars out there that I personally would rather have if money were no object... or at least not as much as an object for me as it is right now...
17 when i got my 93 FD, Red 74,000 Now 18 and almost had it for a year. I was working at a hotel, but my i work with my parents restaurant. Its been a rough first year with a blown radiator and now a blown air pump. Love the car but not the problems. Hopefuly this next year is smoother.

19, and i work in a warehouse. good ol college dropout. Im in charge of shipping, and i get to drive forklifts. fast ones. I will have my seven in about 2 weeks, and it will be all on my own.
My first car was an 88 buick regal. 300k miles, red leather interior. It was my brothers first car before me. I dont believe kids should have it any other way. Sevens need to be more than loved, they need to be appreciated and nurtured. Or something.

21, OS2/rescue swimmer, navy and are we counting total time having the car? cuz its been about 1 1/2 months, oh but i bought the car 1 year and seven months ago for 13500, and i have spent (including the purchase cost) 25000. i am a little bitter. who wants a fully rebuilt (including transmission) ported polished, FD with a newer set of twins all new vacuum hoses and power fc, for 17500. rx7 club special, i am serious also.
26, Heavy truck engineer. Purdue grad. Bought a 93 Touring FD about a month and a half ago. Has been on stands for almost the entire time. I'm almost finished though unless I decided to go single instead of non-seq twins.
I think I have eveyone beat: 50 years young (51 this Sept). Bought my red touring FD 5 years ago for $25K. It had 12, 800 miles on the odometer- now has 112K.

Bought first RX-7 in 1990 ('79 GS) with 80,000 for $1200 sold it four years later with 490,00 miles on it for $2200. Second one was bought in 2000 ('83 GS) for $1400 and wrecked it. Third was bought in 2002 ('85 GS) with 150,000 on it for $1800. With the new motor, its now worth about $7000 and still gets driven daily. The fourth was bought in 2003 ('93 R1) with 100,000 miles for 14,500. Its been competely rebuilt except for the oil pump, fuel pump and rear differential and is now worth about $22,000 but is priceless in my book.

RX-7 history:
Purchased a 1st gen new in Dec 1980 (my 1st new car)
Purchased a 2nd gen Turbo II new in May 1987
Purchased my current 3rd gen (VR base) new in July 1993. 96K miles. It's been a great car and very reliable (lightly modded). However, time to make it "new" again. New engine (not a reman) from Malloy, 99-spec turbos and a bunch of other stuff ready to be installed as soon as KDR can do it....

I'm 50 and I'm a local truck driver. I owned an 86 GXL and a 90 base. I could not afford a 93 when they came out. I said then, this is the best looking car I've ever seen. One day I will get one in red.Got it this year for $27K with 7K miles. Looks showroom new. 95 PEP
