Quick question.

Is a standard £30 AFR gauge better than nothing.

I know a wideband is essential but out of my buget atm so im looking at a cheap narrowband gauge to my O2 sensor.

So with that in mind its either a narrow band or nothing so do i go narrow ?

ive never had a narrowband afr gauge. I have a wideband aem uego. I was going to go that route but was storngly advised to stay away form a narrowband. the narrow band is just a light that fluctuates (SP) back and forth and does not give an accurate afr #. our cars are a little more sensative to fuel than others, believe me I just spend 3k on a new motor, i know it sucks, but from my own experience, dont cheap out on the fd if you can help it.

Do you have a credit card? Buy it on ebay and pay with a CC. then you dont have to pay backl all at once.

my .02

ps i believe it was somewhere around $300 for the gauge and the sensor for the exhaust

Thanx for your .02 but .02 is about all i got haha.

But it still has to be a narrowband or nothing till after Xmas so do i bother or not ?

BTW wideband will be perchased in the new year as i seem to have developed some paranoia about leaning the engine out.

Oh and i dont do credit if i aint gotthe cash i dont get the goods

well, if your worried about leaning out the motor, i would get a wideband, spending 300 to be safe is alot less then spending 3000+ on a new motor. im sure someone else will chime in and give you their opinion.

Just wait and save your $ for the wideband. Narrowband gauges aren't accurate at all and malfunction easily. Never had one that lasted very long fused and installed correctly... Just my .02 Wait the next couple months until you can get a wideband.

Less than worthless....save for a wideband. You just missed out on the PLX group buy from Gotham Racing.

I have the lc-1 xd-16 from Innovate and I'm very happy. Also hooks nicely into the datalogit system with the Power FC.
