It is said in the installation manuel of AEM that you must intalled it at 30inch down from the turbo.

I installed mine about 2 inch from the flange on my High flow cat

I just installed my wideband yesterday. I had the bung welded into my resonated mid-pipe, right about 12 or 1 O'Clock, before the muffler.

I installed mine on the downpipe right before the flange that bolts to the midpipe. No problems so far.

I think mine is as far forward on the mid-pipe that you can go if you want to mount the sensor straight up in the air (like mine), which is the recommended way to install.

There subframe gets in the way if you try to mount it any further forward, or at least it looked that way to me when I was under the car yesterday.

For the first 2 feet I sleeved it with that Thermo-Tec heat shield sleeve (as in the pic), I have it run to a pass though that the previous owner right at the steering column.

Were did you get the thermal wrap for that wire. I didnt use anything on my wire. I drove the car today so I will check the wire tomorrow to see if anything melted.
You can get it from Summit Racing, Pegasus Auto, or Amazon, eBay...

Just search for "ThermoTec Sleeve"
