I'm refreshing my injection controller to AEM and wanted to see where people were mounting their V2 or V3 AEM Controllers.
Easiest would be in the engine bay, but with the adjustable ***** exposed with readout I also kind of have second thoughts on if it should be somewhere in the cabin.
Please share your clean controller locations!
Mine is in the glove box, stuck to the side with velcro tape. The wires are just long enough to go down past the ECU, along the rockers, and through the trunk plastics. My pump is right under the trunk latch, and the included tank is mounted so it sticks down into the spare wheel well. Wires are just long enough. The hose is routed down through the access panel for the gas tank, following the fuel lines under the car. It comes up along the firewall, goes through the filter, and then into the intake elbow.
I wish I had proper warp for the wires so it looks like a proper harness. Also, a big bag of Zip Ties is your friend here.
Thanks all!
Pretty unanimous in cabin and not baking until crispy under the hood hehe.
Btw, would someone mind advising the length of their V2 or V3 nozzle that protrudes from their npt fitting to the hose connect?
My old setup was a Devil's Own (brand) that had a short nozzle connected to a 90* on my elbow.
I'm not sure if I can utilize the long AEM nozzle with my existing NPT fitting as it looks like I may have clearance issues with the master cylinder.
Can't seem to find the measurements for this particular part to confirm, thanks!
Yes, I know what it looks like.
This is why I asked for the length measurement.
The engine moves around, and the tube comes straight out of the injector body. Specific measurements won't help much, but it's around 3". Plenty of people have successfully used this kit on stock to highly modified 7s so you will be fine. Next up you'll be asking for the minimum bend radius of the tubing... Just slap the kit on
If you have the V2 kit you can get an adapter for the AEM injector, either 45° or 90° so you can install it where you have room, the adapter will go between the injector and the nozzle so it won't affect the spray pattern.
The above picture is the V3 injector, which has the integrated nozzle, those will have to be tap straight into the elbow so you don't really have a choice but tap it where you have room.

Thanks ZE Power, that's good to know.
I didn't realize the V2 nozzle separated like that, sounds like a perfect solution!
