Abs Leaking?

so i havent really been driving my car much lately, lost my job and have no money to pay for repairs if needed, i take her out one or twice a week if that.

Then i notice some crap on my abs (Pictures below) and figured it must be baked brake fluid or something, and notice very small amounts of liquid around the cylinders.

I checked the hoses connecting to the abs, didnt notice any leaks and checked to make sure they were tight. Where could this be leaking from? or maybe its something else? also have other issues with the car now.... figures everything goes wrong when you have no money.

Seems like the seals on the cylinders are leaking. Pretty common as the cars get older.
Pick up a used unit on the forum ($75-$100) and have it installed.

Yeah, it's not a typical problem but I've seen it happen on a couple FD's I've worked on. I have a spare one for $75 shipped when you need it...

It will not get better. mine leaked a bit for two years. Then when it got cold out I was going through 5 oz a week. I bought a used one from another forum member on here. I installed it myself and it is an easy job. Its plug and play and then bleed the brakes.

Sounds like it's not leaking too badly so just keep it as clean as you can and hopefully you'll get a killer new job

I am not sure what is involved in disassembly (I do not think it is hard). You probably just need to change some o-rings. From the looks of the abs pump you probably do not even have to remove it.

If you do not need to drive it, I would take it apart and check it out. Might be able to repair it for $5 in o-rings. Worst case is you have to buy one anyway.

You can take it apart all you want, you will probably make it worse. That's not the problem! You will not get new seals for it. It has been tried and there are no replacements. By the way it is not an O ring, It is a circular seal with flat sides. Very thin and not generic from Auto zone or the WEB. Plus it has to be resistant to one of the most corrosive fluids in your car. Check out the FAQ. Guys have tried for years to get new seals. Good news is yours is leaking very little so you have some time.
