ABS Elimination

Has anyone here eliminated their abs on their cars? Im really debating it on mine.. mine works only ok.. I stomp brakes, my tires lock for a few seconds then they start working the way they are supposed to. I guess is there any real downfall to ABS Elimination? Any pros?

Matt

weight savings.

I also remember reading a post that ABS only really works with stock (sized) rims?
How true is that?

Much better for road racing if you know how to use it.

Now do some searches guys, the information is out there and it's been done by multiple people.

I remember reading in a magzine article that on skylines the abs would not kick in right away so that it would not be noticed when using the cars for club (ex. auto cross) style racing. My abs on my RX7 is just like yours does not kick in for a few secs. Maybe some one else out there knows more about this it would be interesting to find out. As far as for racing purposes I don't run one on our scca race car.
