Ok im about to put a act cutch and flywheel. I ordered the steet strip clutch and streetlite chromoly fly wheel. I forgot 2 ask if the kit comes with a pilot bearing im gonna call and ask. I know i should change the rear seal, im gonna go to mazda to order it tomorrow. Also what about the exaust where am i gonna disconnect it, from where the dp and midpipe meet or where the mid pipe meets the catback? should i order a gasket from greddy? also i know im gonna loose some tranny fluid should i get lucas. I just wanna make sure i got everything so the job goes smoothly.

You shouldn't need to replace the exhaust gaskets unless they are damaged. It's doubtful but always a possibility.

As far as the tranny fluid, you may as well completely drain the tranny and refill it while you are down there. As far as the type of fluid, I prefer Royal Purple but everyone has their own favorites.

I'm remembering my last clutch job, I didn't take the DP off but I did take the cat off, cat-back stayed on. Exhaust gaskets there usually fail from rust. Replace if rusty!

I'm a fan of plain old gear oil. In a few TII and FD trannies I've had better shifting when cold with Redline and worse shifting when hot. If your happy with the Redline keep it, just get a clean container to drain it in.

All ACT clutches I have ordered comes with pilot bearing but not the seal. You need to buy a few cans of pen. oil to get things apart. Also, retorque the rear engine bolts while you are down there. Make sure you have the right pilot bearing puller. To add one more thing to the list, make sure your pinion angle is returned to where it was when you started or the diff. will leak and mark the drive shaft before you pull it to make sure it goes back on the same way it came off.

Man, that is the worst paragraph ever...
