96-02 FD rims+spoilers-where?

Since my FD is undergoing repair from a fire I have plenty of time to put another RX-7 through the gauntlet, courtesy of the PS2. I noticed all the different designations for the FD. Such as RB, RZ, etc. There seem to be 3-4 different sets of "stock" rims and wings. The only J-spec I've ever actually seen is the 99.
I'd like to do a tasteful exterior upgrade using factory parts. If anyone knows where to get non-93-95 rims or spoilers info would be much appreciated as well as any pics. Thanks

You can search through the Interior/Exterior/Audio forum or the Gallery or you can check out websites like:

www.rx7store.net
www.rx7.com
www.jt-imports.com

etc.

www.jt-imports.com is a really good resource for products that were aimed at the japanese market solely.

Maybe this is for a different thread, but, the 99 front is sweet but how much $$ might it cost for a little rhinoplasty on that lic. plate holder? SportCompactCar had it done on their project car, but I'm wondering a real-world price

Stefan,

so what's the deal with your car? Did the insurance co. total it or are they going to have it repaired?

BTW, my car is still @ Ricks! They ran out of downpipes so it's there waiting till one comes in! I was told tomorrow so I'll pick up either Wed. or Thurs.!

If you're interested in a '99 front end, check out the group buy on a Pettit replica which doesn't have the plate holder:

Word up, Gil thanks for the thread. Trip on this. I had left my car in front of the shop for an earlybird drop and slid the key and a note in the door and my mech. calls and says he started it up and drove it on in the shop! The damage is not too bad! BTW, he's sick wih the flu so it may not be til mid Jan til I get it back, however the ins. co. did pay him a visit. Nope, no total for this 93 she took a lickin' and still's tickin! So I'm gonna reward her with a 99 spec makeover!

Alright Herb! All that black on your car is makin me bite my fist! Though i think an FMIC looks bootsy on 93-95 fronts, it actually passes for stock with your 99. Hmmm... What are the specs on yer rims+tires? (Volks?) Lastly did the 99 front come painted black like the wing does? Damn, with that steering wheel finishing it off, the car becomes mechanical pornography! real nice

99+ steering from some guy on the forum while back.

Rims are SSR comp. 18x8 front and 18x10.5 rear. I'm running ContiSport2's 235/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear.

Wing was painted red.. but repainted black.
Front end comes primed from factory.

Herb, your car is beautiful. I love that hood, especially in all black. I'd like to run it on my car but I think it would probably look funny in MB.
