It depends on the turbo(s) and port size.

Mahjik, the guy is using an engine that is made of cast IRON, with pistons and valve's! Guessing by his link....

What he doesnt understand is the power of the rotary. Which might be resolved around easter time next year at Avon Race Way.

Rotorstock will be held. Details will follow on UK forums early next year.

Big wig: Learn to use the SEARCH button. It is a FREE service that this forum provides to help you gain answers to a majority of your questions. I'll even help you out by giving you a link:

I guarantee you if you don't learn how to search you will start pissing off a lot of very knowledgeable people, and then you will be left with no help.

Sorry to be harsh about it, but it's just the cold hard facts.

Good luck,
Rob

cheers sprockett!and fish!!why not though?why wont it take 34 psi?seriously!will the block blow up or what?
saxyman:is this place a library or a forum?id rather have people answering direct questions than trawling through archives trying to find something that might resemble what i asked.if anyone asks me something i know,i usually tell them not say, heres a book of similar questions, have a read, and maybe youll find an answer!
not having a dig, just the style of board community im used to,someone asks a question, people in the know answer, and if relevant a link to another tpic is put up.

but anyway, ill try and be the first person on here to run 2 bar boost shall i?ill research heavily and see what i can do!!!

oooh oooh, and what size injectors for 400bhp?mine are currently 504cc/min does that make sense in the rotary world?as in are they a similar size for the desired effect?or dso you guys use like 1000cc/min injectors?

People are going to direct you towards other threads or searches, because they contain good information and they would rather be doing something than typing the same thing over every week.

Anyway...you should really get a good understanding of turbo rotaries before you think you can just jump in and hit 400hp or 2bar without problems. I'm sure you'd like to see your engine last wouldn't you? Reading can help accomplish this.

yeah, thats fine,i dont mind reading other topics, but to be told im pissing people off by asking questions, and hoping for answers is a little harsh i think.dont think 400 bhp would be too difficult to achieve as i have seen you can buy that power off the shelf,BUT i would like to see the reasons for low boost settings on these motors, and try and work around them as im a bit of a boost junky, specially when i know people in the piston world running 40 odd psi,it makes me wonder why not in a rotary!

400bhp can be done on the stock motor + twins. Just the proper bolt ons and a good tuned Power Fc

Why dont you go buy a RX-7 and run 40Psi of boost. Make sure to tape it I want to see the front end of an FD vanish. 17psi on a single turbo will be more Hp than you would ever want. I dont think i have ever heard of any rotary running 40Psi the most i have head of was 20 and i just about **** my self when i heard how much it was. i have a vid of an Rx-7 and if i rember correct it made about 710ps at 2.04 kg/cm3

400bhp is what, 350 to the wheels? Why the hell would you want to run 40psi to get 350rwhp? Is that a really tiny turbo or what? You should have a power goal and then research what it would take to get there, not start at a boost level. Stock FD injectors are (2) 550cc and (2) 850cc . For 400rwhp you can either put 1600cc injectors in place of the 850's or move the 850's to the 550 location and get 1200's to put in the 850 position. Much debate over which is better.

I was going to say about the same thing. Running over 20psi on a daily bases is getting very extreme for Rotaries, unless it is on a heavily ported and built motor.

And no disrespect about the search function, but at least try to use it. That doesn't mean look for hours on end for one small thing, but you question could have been answered last week. So just don't overlook the search feature. It is great.

Running over TEN psi is pushing it w/o the proper mods to go along with it.
