93 rx7 windshield fluid tank alternatives

Does anyone know if there is an alternative smaller tank that can be used for the FD? I currently don't have one installed and would like to keep the engine bay clean looking. So possibly install elsewhere? Also where would the power come from?
Thanks!

You can get the Euro rear tank, it has a pump for the front windshield.

That's a pretty penny... Would like to find a universal or a smaller one to fit inside the car, maybe the rear bins?

The stock washer tank isn’t located in the engine bay. It’s behind the left wheel liner. The only thing that’s visible is the filler neck. And they’re still available…new maybe $150 shipped. Used come up occasionally.

edit: If you’re talking about a tank for AI. Still you might give this a read if you haven’t yet….

I just used the otherwise unused switched power at the fuse panel under the dash, with an inline fuse.

This also has some info and pictures (reloaded at the end) that might help.

Washer tank is mounted with (3) 10mm bolts behind the left wheel liner…see post #2 in that first link.
This is an old pic but the only one I have at hand that shows the washer tank neck just behind and beside the battery…

The washer tank is basically just like the overflow tank, almost a mirror image on the other side of the car.

Installs in the same fashion, it's inside the fender liner.

They are available and $86 from Atkins, probably a little less from Ray Crowe. The way they are tucked in you can only see the filler neck.

Atkins will nick him another $20 or so for the cap… which he’ll need. But that’s still less than I thought.

That is a good point, I didnt notice before the cap is separate. I am thinking about getting a new washer tank and coolant reservoir because mine are getting a bit yellow.

Yeah, the necks where they attach to the car start checking and get pretty sketchy from age and heat. Tanks themselves seem to last.
