7's Day in Texas?

Any 7's day meets happening tomorrow in TX? I'm located near the Dallas - Ft. Worth area, not looking to travel down to Houston unfortunately lol

I have yet to make it out, but I hear there is fair participation ...

Google: "DFW Rx7 Meet" on Facebook

Hey TeamRX8, if you commit to making it out this Saturday (PM me if you're up to it), I'll commit to the drive up there. Would be cool to meet 5teeb there. That said, I'll be san rotary for obvious reasons but would still love to make both of your acquaintances.

well it being 3 minutes away and me not having been yet might be telling but none of my rotary cars are presently street registered

however, if you have one of the special extra thinwall 13/16” spark plug socket I can borrow we can meet up real soon. I need to remove a set of non-rotary NGK BR10EIX 6801 plugs that the previous owner put in and am not really wanting to either make one or pay Racing Beat $132 just to use it this one time.

This summer is already so savage.. If it keeps up, mine might not make another appearance (anywhere) until October haha

TeamRX8, Seek and yea shall find! I've had for decades a "Spic Racing" hand-ground one that might scratch the itch!!

Cloud9, perhaps more than most, I've seen my share of RXs. Ultimately, its the owners that make me want to meet. In the usual rotary-sad-song, my car isn't driveable, but I find sharing with others helps light a fire under my lazy ****. Hope we can meet.

5teeb, please forgive the thread hijack.

@TeamRX8 I also have a thin wall 13/16 you (or anyone) is welcome to borrow. I'm in the M Streets/Lower Greenville area.

@Carlos Iglesias Good sentiments. Same!

if Teppo hadn’t closed recently we could meet up for some yakitori and Asahi draft beer!

@TeamRX8 I could be wrong but I'm pretty confident that Teppo is open again. But it is reservation only. I'm down if you are lol

The location was bought out by Shoyo Omakase several blocks south on Greenville and they’ll be reopening it as just a second casual sushi shop location. So it’s not going to be the same operation or menu as before.

The previous owner is opening a new yakitori shop, but the location hasn’t been announced yet. I’m pretty sure it won’t be in the lower Greenville area though.

We can always meet at TeiTei Robata on Henderson. It’s hard to get a reservation there because they never reopened fully and then fill up quickly, but sometimes I can get consideration.

There’s also Manpuku Yakiniku near Teppo too. A bit hard on the wallet though (all of them are actually) and the Toki hi-ball machine there is kind of dangerous

Thanks for the insight! That's all great to know. Sad to loose Teppo but will be interested to find out what Shoyo's take on casual is like.

I honestly can't get enough of TeiTei. Wife and I were actually just there on Saturday lol.

So if you're up for it, I say lets do it sometime! Maybe closer to the end of the month? PM if you want to figure it out. No offense taken if you don't haha
