You should have really done research before jumping into an FD...

Your threads are amusing though.

Don't worry about a rebuild until it's dead. Just enjoy the car until then.

There is no magical number when these engines just die. It's all in the care of the car. The engine can die in less than 1000 miles or last well beyond 100,000 miles.

A full minute before he started worrying again.

And no it's not, afterall, it's still running. Nobody can tell you when it will meet it's end. Just sell..drive it til it becomes a problem.

ok thanx Mahjik, i just talked to this other guy with a stage 3 engine and he said if I got a stand alone fuel managment system (bad spelling) i would gain 800-900hp but the question is how long would that engine last?

You aren't going to gain 800hp from just an upgraded (meant probably just ported with a few coolant & oil mods) engine and a stand-alone fuel management system. The guy is pulling your leg and trying to get into your wallet. If it sounds too good to be true, it really is....

Stock setup can last as long as 120k mi if it's well taken care of and you're lucky. Most don't last very long bc of mods and other reasons.

I have 95k and it pulls better than when I got it at 72k. I had the turbo hoses replaced while some work was done. Hopefully, the turbo will last as long as the engine.

It's not a bad time to save some money but good maintenance and care of the car is key.
