850 in primaries
ok, i read and searched the forum and some say to mill 1/8 on top of the rail and some say to use an extra o-rings. All those links with pictures are down, anyone has some picture or links that actually works of what exactly is meant by adding an extra o-ring.
I see there are places that charges 5$ to mill the rail, why are there stores that charges 190 to modify the rail then? Is it a different modification?
thanks

Don't quote me on this, but I think most of the $190 is like a core charge. You order the modified rail, you receive the new rail and swap it out, send your old one back and they refund you the difference.
Just mill the primary hold 1/8". You don't need anymore o-rings. Just slide the secondaries in and your done. The o-ring trick is for when you don't want to mill the injector holder. Most machine shops will charge you less than $90 to do it. Its just whether or not you have access to a shop that will do it.

$190! Don't waste your money, we just did mine for free with a belt sander in about 2 minutes... heck, I've even read someone did it on a skateboard once.
The trick is to get it as even as possible and shave down low enough as to where the injector O-ring seals when you push the injector down into the rail.

^ Just pay a machinist to do it. It's pretty difficult to support it and mill it. If anyone is interested I will be selling a couple more of these with cleaned and flowmatched injectors already installed. All you have to do is plop them in...
there's someone in the forums that'll do it for $5, also some injector service companies will do it for free when you send the injectors for servicing (this is what I did).

I did this myself when I had my FD. I just put sand paper on a very flat piece of metal and marked the edges of the rail 1/8" down with marker. Then move the rail back and forth on the sanding paper (making sure the sand paper is removing even amounts of the rail).Once the marker is all removed your done. Measure twice, sand once. Before you get to the marked line check fitment. ALWAYS spray down rail with brake parts cleaner and forced air!!! Goodluck
