thanks 93blackfd i lost that video...its a good video.
do you really think your bumper could catch on fire if its clean (e.g. no dust oil or grime)

93BlackFD, HOLY CRAP!! That was A GIGANTIC FLAME man...wow. I dunno how you managed to do that...
austinsFD, I dunno bout the bumper actually catching on fire (it looks very possible though w/ that big of a flame), but a lot of the guys I know how do throw those little fireballs, their bumper is all disfigured and burnt around the exhaust tip hehe
the heat's gotta go somewhere, right??

i've caught the bumper on fire, well i'm not sure if it acutally flamed up, but it did burn it badly and do some damage (plastic + fire = melted bumper)
i think those little ricer heat shields might actually help

if you put lots of pennies in your muffler maybe you will shoot greeen flames! that way it will cost cents for special colors rather than buying nitrous.
but yeah i mean i think flames are cool but i dont know if it is a good idea to have them burning for too long... my bumper is a bit melted on the bottom from the N1s. dont really want to catch it on fire with all the flammage. and besides looking cool, its just kind of useless and unsafe to your car.

One of my friends in SC has a video of him shooting a 15 sec flame, but I cant seem to find it. I'll post a link whenever I do find it. It was from a very special fc though, not an fd.

Flames aren't shot simply because your car is running rich. There are more factors. If you've spent any time properly tuning a car (or just the trial and error getting to the proper tune) you will learn this. The exhaust must be hot for you to shoot flames. When tuning my car for light loads and decelleration, I learned that if you tune for stoich while cruising (14.7) then anywhere over 3k rpm, when you barely tap the gas, the car will shoot a flame. Also, if you don't activate the deceleration fuel cut off, the car will never not shoot flames on decel (pardon the double negative). You can purposefully make your car shoot flames, or your car can shoot flames as a result of you tuning it to run its best. I opt for the second option.

Remember these were your words not mine.
If people do things just to make the car look "cool", and you are not one of them, whats up with all those CF fins you have stuck all over your car?
What is their functional purpose? If it is to make your car fly away, then you need a helmet and an ejection seat.
Safety first!
J/K bud. Your car is awesome!

LOL...Steve...you really wanna take this outside, dontcha?
- First, notice the "While that may be a choice you may want to make in certain cases" part. I put that in specifically for you
- The CF "fins" (canards, btw) are actually functional, as far as I understand. The C-west front canards direct airflow, and the rear canards are actually custom extensions of the RE diffuser I have on the car. Usually the diffuser comes w/ optional generators, but given the design of my rear bumper (c-west), it couldn't be fit properly.
- Ironically, both front and rear peices have to do w/ airflow, and work in conjuction w/ the custom undertray in the front, and the diffuser in the rear. So the object is the exact opposite; it's to KEEP the car from flying away
Besides Steve...what's unsafe about any of the canards? They're so off to the side they can't even catch fire when I blow a flame hehe. That, and again, w/o forgoeing safety, some things that aren't exactly the essence of practicality are done simply for show when your car is ... well ... a show car :duh: (eg. the doors)

Ramy,
You're my hero. I was however, referring the fins you have on the side of your rear bumper. They are unsafe because, when travelling at high speeds, as your car tends to do, they could very easily cut someone off at the ankle a good 3 feet from your car. That puts everyone on the sidewalks in serious danger.
Care to explain?
Also, please use smaller words, as anything with more than 5 letters confuses me.
Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
I only have one thing to say really. To quote ludacris:
"Move b*tch! Get out of my way...get out of my way, get out of my way
I'm doin a hundred on the highway, so if you do the speed limit, get the hell outta My way..."
~Ramy
PS...those "fins" on the rear bumper ARE the diffuser extensions.
