600whp
Here's the deal, I may have the opportunity to buy one of two cars:
FD 13B 600whp on race gas for $18k
FD 20B 600whp on pump for $28k
I don't really want the cars, just the engine/drivetrain so I would swap it into my FD, put my ~330whp engine back into the other FD and resell it for probably $18k
option one, apart from my and my buddy's time for swaping the engines I wouldn't spend any money.
option two, 20B conversion and be out $10k...
what would you do? the car will stay streetable and be daily driven some times. I do track the car and do my share of drag races...
very important factor, i dont have a job right now...

I think you just answered your own question... lol
Personally, I would probably go with the 13B and install an AI system so I could run 500+ whp on pump gas, on the street, all the time. That is like Howard Coleman's motto these days.

If you're unemployed, 18k is a lot of cash to lay out and hope that you can recover selling the car with a stock motor. I'm skeptical if you'll make that much back flipping the car after taking the good motor out. And if something breaks along the way or you find you need to buy new parts to finish the swap or any number of FD problems arise as they inevitably do, you'll be out even more.

^^I will as soon as I finish my Masters (school full time will be done by July)
the 13B is in the US, will have to go get it and ship it back to PR
the 20B is local
FD's sell at a higher price locally than mainland US, if in good condition I could sell one for $20k+

buy the 20b fd. dont motor swap, leave it in there and take the parts from your fd that you like and then sell your fd. why would you swap it out one fd to another fd when you would own both cars? how could you sell the fd that was modded for a 20b with no 20b? mod it back to stock? doesn't make much sense to me.
yeah seems kinda pointless to swap out the engines and all that when you could simply sell YOUR FD and keep the one you buy...
Eitherway with that much horsepower, ive always been told the 20B has better street manners than the 13B does at 600WHP

My car is just tons better inside and out, low original miles, the colors I want and I have the brakes/suspension/body, etc the way I want it.
I wouldn't call it show worthy yet but getting there, It already won best car in a Kumho Tire Auto Show.
I'd prefer to mod mine up to those power levels but I figure one of these swaps will be easier and save me a lot of cash.
