ecu, I think the pfc and halteck get rid of this. I got the pettit and it helps but does not eliminate it

Get some extra ground for the engine. That helps out a lot. You can get a free ground setup from Pettit still. I think it's still available.

Clean your battery terminals. Always accelerate hard. No pussyfooting. :-)

Despite all the fixes you read about, I don't know what fixes it besides a PFC. I've replaced most of the grounds, upgraded the grounds with new ones listed in the TSB's, added new grounds and cleaned the others. Still very bad - motor basically stops at 3k at 2+psi boost. You can smack the windshield if you don't watch out. The only ground I've not fixed is the one below the intake (I think it is for the ignition). Everytime you disconnect the battery it will look like it's fixed but it will come back. My last resort is this intake ground and the cpu ground. I'm ready to ditch the stock cpu but I'm waiting to see whether to go with the AEM or PFC.

It's very bad when cold, better when warm...

Does everyone know about the ground wire on the exhaust pipe ???? There is supposed to be a ground strap from the bolt where the catback bolts to the main cat.and attaches to the chasis. This is probably the ground that O2 sensor needs (or one of them) and it should help. Won't eliminate it as what you feel is the ECU switching from the primary injectors (550) to the secondaries (850) and for some reason instead of having them over lap they actual cut of for that fraction of a second. (Seems longer if your easing on the throttle.) and very anoying.

3k hesitation... = primary injectors switching to secondaries... pfc helps but can't do to much about it besides not "pussyfooting"

if you have time but not enough money for PFC, what i would recommend is clean all the ground contact points. i think there is 3. i mean you need to sand the chassy down with sandpaper. After that get another ground cable and ground it once more. This should help out. remmember this SHOULD help out.

Yeh, I have 2 grounds on the exhaust (1 stock, 1 extra) + the downpipe bolts to the trans mount and I have a heated O2 with a ground. I have a Pettit-type ground to the shock tower which I sanded off. I also have a battery ground to the front of the motor. I have the new TSB ground from the firewall to the intake (also was sanded).

What gives with this thing? I'm ready to park it until I get a upgraded CPU.

Can you get a ground on the fuel rail without pulling the intake? I'd like to test this out.

I'm too lazy to pull out my workshop manual, which rail is the secondary?
