3D Fuel Map

I thought it would be interesting to take my fuel map from the Power FC and create a 3D graph using excel. I would be interested to see others' if you get time. I also attached the excel file so that you can open it if you like. If you right click on the graph itself and go to 3D options, you can rotate it around and change the perspective. Anyway, I thought it was cool and I think it may be a good aid in tuning if you know what you're doing.

Enjoy!

If you save those a .GIF, you'll be able to use a much larger picture.

Can you explain chart parameters

Nice chart---how about explaining / identifying the X & Y numbers.
Am I looking at air fuel ratio by pounds, boost ,and RPM ?

Shawnk, that is not your target fuel map, that is the AFR map. The fuel map is inverted showing injector duty cycle or output duration.
As for the axis label (this is why I like the AEM so much better), the "X" axis (S1-S20) is the engine load, the "Y" axis (1-20) is engine RPM, the "Z" axis is injector output in either raw ouput (0-254, 8-bit processor), duty cycle (0-100%), or pulse width (0-xxMS). As for the map Shawnk attached, the X and Y axis are the same, the Z axis in AFR. The high flat spot on the AFR map is the idel region (or the low flat spot if you are looking at the fuel map).

You are correct of course. I went back and looked at his post and he was posting his fuel map in graphic form. I guess I didnt pay attention because that map is going to be different for every car and unless you are looking at the curves (which is only barely useful) it is completely useless to share. Especially if he posted Inj map of a non-standard base.

I do actually have graphs of my base map (I always base recalc after tuning) that I could share but I am not sure why anyone would want to see it.
