dayam 3k hesitation, it kinda feels like it hurts the car. just like stated before it cuts off for a brief second. hitting the 3k hesitation in 5th gear is the weirdest thing ive felt in this car though.

Well my car is running pretty good and is very responsive and quick out of the hole as I feel it should be. But when cruising at about 3000rpm, I can tip in throttle and it seems to feel very sluggish. I can hear the turbo producing boost, and I can see the boost on my gauge. The car just does not pull very hard until transition.

There are endless debates about what causes this and how to fix it. Better grounding seems to help me a bit but it still occures to me on rare occasions during moderate throttle when the car is not cold but not quite warm... like 2 minutes after startup.

It Just Feels Right
Just thought I'd add my 2 cents. Brand new reman in my car with 250 miles on it so far. I am experiencing the 3000 rpm hesitation every morning when the engine is cold.

The system switches over from the primary to secondary at around 4500 RPM. Once it transitions, it will not switch back to primary until you drop the rpms below 3000. Even then it usually requires you to stay off the gas for a bit before it switches back to primary.
Maybe this is what you are experiencing. Once you hit the transition point (4300 RPM), the system switches to secondary boost. If you let off gas, or upshift, then the system will stay in secondary mode. If you are below 4500 RPM when you get back on the gas, then the turbos don't spool too well, cause its like you are running them non-sequentially.

Nahh, Dave Thats Not Quite It. But Sometimes After I Hit Transition And Come Back To Low Rpm's The Exhaust Note Has Changed And Revs Are Slower To Come Up. Only Does This For A Minute Literally, Then Its Back To Normal. Like A Valve Is Stuck Or Something, Maybe The Butterfly Valve Inside The Y-pipe...?

check all turbo control components. that will cause your issues. The TC solenoid(s) can stick sometimes causing a sluggish changeover from parallel mode (4500rpm+) back to the primary only.
