3 Gen PowerFC's

All,
I want to get a quick poll on how many are running the Power FC on their cars.

Thanks,

Steven

I would say the majority of the modified cars run with a PFC.

I too agree that the majority are running the PFC. We have done some testing with the Power FC and the Anti-Detonation Device and determined that some additional requirements will be needed when running this setup.

Thanks,

Steven

Like what? And why is it different for the PFC as opposed to any other after-market ECU?

Does this also explain why it appears that several PFC powered FD's with the device have detonated and blown engines?

The failure of those two vehicles had been mechanical in nature and had no correlation to the ECU or Anti-Det.

We are going to update information for this device tonight and May 1st, 2004 will be the release date with a full write-up of what it is.

Thanks,

Steven

(ANSWER)-Well, when you have an injector that sticks shut it's kinda hard to recover from that when under load. I don't care what you do to the car, it just won't live. To me that is mechanical in nature and not what the anti-detonation represents nor was it a blanket answer I provided as you implied.

(ANSWER)-More power to you, I'm glad the water injection is working well for you. Once the product hits the market we will definitely see feed back on these forums whether it's good or bad. You will also witness that this device will work.

(ANSWER)-This device has been installed on nearly 80 cars, which some have been running for the past year with no problems. If two cars come back with unrelated problems I think that is a good indication of its effectiveness. This poll was not intended to provide some" pure straight info" in the first place. All I was asking was for those people running the PFC to please raise their hands.

What device? What the heck are you talking about?

[sarcasm]
Could you please be more obtuse?
[/sarcasm]

If you are a vendor trying to do some market research I think you'll find the community here is very willing to be a sounding board or provide you some feedback if you contribute to it first and ask for help later.

If you come off like an arrogant snob I think you'll find out that people here are going to ignore you and you'll get little if any useful information.

Be upfront with what you're asking (this whole poll seems very backhanded), if you have knowledge share it openly with others, and in return I think you'll enjoy the community here.

its an anti detonation device thats in the process of getting a patent (thus the hush hush nature), there were about 20 threads or so on it a while back.

Yep. PFC.

Any related issues with a single turbo and related modifications? I am assuming there are none, but I just wanted to ask.

No, it's understandable that people be negative at this point. I had to wait a year before Skip Gorman allowed me to purchase and then subsequently work with him on this product. There has been a lot of talk and no action surrounding this device and I'm hoping after May 1st it will be a big topic of discussion. We will look forward to the rotary community feedback, negative or positive.

Thanks,

Steven
