While some remain pessimistic about the product, I see it as a good thing (should it work) for the rotary community. Why are we fighting innovation in any form, even if it does fail? If anything, FD owners of all people should know patience foremost. If one lacks knowledge/detail on how the product spefically works, I don't see how they could be so quick to berate it, especially considering the fact that it hasn't had its chance on the open market yet.

From what I remember they described it as having better more noticeable effects on a singled car.

Not that it needs to be said really, but it should most defiantly work flawlessly on the PFC before being released even if it delays release any further. I am sure if it will do what it has been hyped up to be, then it will be a mandatory item on any rotary enthusiasts car.
I will most defiantly be on the list if some of the trusted members on this forum are on the bandwagon singing its praises.

Thanks! We have found that the device will not work with the RX-8 at this time. We are working with a few companies to develop solutions to the problems we are seeing. We'll have updates on the site as information becomes available.

The anti-det. device is even more desireable now, as Renesis production has Mazda's casting foundery tied up producing renesis rotor housings. 3rd gen housings are now back-ordered big time! If you blow up and damage the housings, the wait will be unbearable!

Maybe someone will come out soon with a mixed part build for a 3rd gen using the newer housings, aftermarket exhaust manifold, etc.

 

Has anyone had a successful engine swap on the RX7 with a RX8 motor? I too heard they are slowing production on the 13B engines.

 

rx-8's don't have detonation issues, nor is there a forced induction alternative for them available

i do not see the benefit...

 

Im probably going with the microtech stand alone, its a plug and play system and i know a tuner around here and are bascially strictly rotary, there shop car is a rx-8 with a 20b, they claim they are pushing 1,000hp. they are sopposed to be one of the best rotary tuners in the us.

check out this months RXtuner mag. There is an article on a supercharger kit for the car that will be released soon. Doesnt seem too bad.

 

PFC and anti-det, like Trav I would like to know some general info about why this doesn't work well with the combination. I have had some problems but have sorted them out with a little tuning. Please PM some of us that have the combo as to whether we should be worried or not. Thanks, see other mods in sig.
