2 Post Lift Installed: let the fun begin!

The garage is still a ways away from being complete, but it took a big step forward this week. Can't wait to throw the fd on it and not have to crawl around on the floor anymore.

Now to get the walls painted and epoxy the floor. ..

The before shot

I can tell your garage was prebuilt with that in mind. Nice!

Awesome! What did you need to use to anchor it, just a hammer drill and some red heads or what?

Rad.... Now. Pics of your car up in the air? Any reason you chose that brand?

DrifDreamz: the lift came with concrete anchors. I had it professionally installed so I don't know the exact brand.

RogueFab: pics of the FD in the air will come shortly, I had to test it out with the daily driver first. I went with this brand because of the narrow footprint it gives me and it was one of the cheaper ALI certified lifts.

My ceiling is about 12'2", the installer did an awesome job seeing as the lift is 12'1"

dang why'd you choose a wall mount vs mounting it on the floor?

Haha, not too sure why it rotated the photos. I'll post some upright pics with the 7 this weekend.

Here is a quick shot of the 7 on the lift. I'll have to get some better shots uploaded soon.

That looks so fun, every FD owner should have a garage like that.

Thought I would post a little bit of an update on the garage.

First, here is a pic of the 7 on it's maiden lift voyage

I've also since epoxied the floor and gotten my compressor hooked up. I can't seem to find the epoxy picture but here is a pic of the compressor. You can a see a little bit of the epoxy in it. I haven't decided if I'll keep the hose reel on the wall or take it up to the ceiling.

Next on the list is plumbing up the utility sink, making a work bench and getting a heater so I don't freeze through the winter!

I can only dream of having a lift. I'm just happy to have a garage to park my car in. I guess I will just continue to pay to have any major work done.

Very nice. A lift is definitely on every gear heads wish list....Unfortunately most don't have the space or money for it. Now you can store an extra 7

The only think i would do different is move it away from the wall a little. If you are working on the car in that bay (assuming your other bay is full so you can't work on it there), then you really can't due much work on the passenger side of the car.
