The garage is still a ways away from being complete, but it took a big step forward this week. Can't wait to throw the fd on it and not have to crawl around on the floor anymore.

Now to get the walls painted and epoxy the floor. ..

That's awesome. Will definitely make it easier to get under the car.

arghx 06-08-13 10:06 AM

Sweet. Watch out, all your friends will want to use it now.

ZE Power MX6 06-08-13 04:38 PM

Nice, that's on my wish list.

t-von 06-08-13 06:16 PM

I can tell your garage was prebuilt with that in mind. ;) Nice!

DriftDreamzSS 06-10-13 01:01 AM

Awesome! What did you need to use to anchor it, just a hammer drill and some red heads or what?

Rotary13B1 06-10-13 01:05 AM

What is the height of your garage? thx!

misterstyx69 06-10-13 11:17 PM

uhh..Buddy..ol pal..ol friend,.where you live?...lol!
(nice setup..mine is patio stones and a Portable garage..lol..seriously!)

RogueFab 06-11-13 01:44 AM

Rad.... Now. Pics of your car up in the air? Any reason you chose that brand?

myR1 06-11-13 08:24 PM

DrifDreamz: the lift came with concrete anchors. I had it professionally installed so I don't know the exact brand.

RogueFab: pics of the FD in the air will come shortly, I had to test it out with the daily driver first. I went with this brand because of the narrow footprint it gives me and it was one of the cheaper ALI certified lifts.

My ceiling is about 12'2", the installer did an awesome job seeing as the lift is 12'1"

muibubbles 06-11-13 11:29 PM

dang why'd you choose a wall mount vs mounting it on the floor?

=P

Haha, not too sure why it rotated the photos. I'll post some upright pics with the 7 this weekend.

Here is a quick shot of the 7 on the lift. I'll have to get some better shots uploaded soon.

So far very happy with the lift!

getgone 06-23-13 01:34 AM

You did good-- asymetric arms, clear floor setup. What is the lift capacity?

1993R1FD 06-27-13 02:42 PM

awesome! Nice job

myR1 06-28-13 09:13 PM

Thanks! It's a 10, 000 lb lift

FD3S2005 06-28-13 09:16 PM

i wish my garage was wider and a tad taller so i could do this....

97SupraTwinTurbo 07-02-13 12:40 PM

That looks so fun, every FD owner should have a garage like that.

Fortune_Seven 07-03-13 01:42 AM

Sooo awesome! Would love this!

Thought I would post a little bit of an update on the garage.

First, here is a pic of the 7 on it's maiden lift voyage

I've also since epoxied the floor and gotten my compressor hooked up. I can't seem to find the epoxy picture but here is a pic of the compressor. You can a see a little bit of the epoxy in it. I haven't decided if I'll keep the hose reel on the wall or take it up to the ceiling.

Next on the list is plumbing up the utility sink, making a work bench and getting a heater so I don't freeze through the winter!

jkep21 11-21-13 09:30 PM

I can only dream of having a lift. I'm just happy to have a garage to park my car in. I guess I will just continue to pay to have any major work done.

SakeBomb Garage 11-21-13 09:49 PM

Very nice. A lift is definitely on every gear heads wish list....Unfortunately most don't have the space or money for it. Now you can store an extra 7 ;)

TwinCharged RX7 11-21-13 11:07 PM

The only think i would do different is move it away from the wall a little. If you are working on the car in that bay (assuming your other bay is full so you can't work on it there), then you really can't due much work on the passenger side of the car.

Spirit-RE 11-21-13 11:35 PM

Nice! No Rotary lift, lol?

How much did that set you back?
