1st upgrades

I just got my Black 94 RX7 on monday and am looking to do alittle bit. Im retaining the stock look and am doing the stereo now. What are the first performance mods I should do. Which mods have the best bang for the buck besides Nitrous. Any help or suggestion is welcome

Tom

get a better ECU before you do any serious mods.

aftermarket radiator, hard piping (IC/intake/y-pipe)replace vaccum hoses w/ silicone ones (reliability 1st), then intake, dp, catback, ecu, pull the smog pump, pulleys maybe, strut & sway bars. oh yeah a good set of tires too.

you'll get some noticable power/handling differences and at a reasonable price compared to intercoolers, coil overs, turbos etc where the prices are in the thousands rather than hundreds. plus getting rid of heavy stock **** like the precat, stock muffler, smog pump, saves weight and frees up space in the engine bay.

The best mods are the reliability mods -scuderia ciriani-

The one that has save my engine so many times is the TEMP GAUGE very important mod like the BOOST GAUGE.

Do not try to gain power without some reliability mods
-some of them will give your car more hp-
or you will be in serious problems soon.

good luck,

RT

Wow, you only had the car a week and it's already gone up to the big junkyard-in-the-sky? That totally sucks ***! Hope his (or your) insurance has it covered and you can get another one.

What he said ^ also might want to get a water temp gauge also. While your at it replace all the fluids with new....tranny and diff fluid with synthetic, and flush the radiator for good measure. Also if the car has more then 30-40K on it I would change the fuel filter. Lastly, congradulations on your new car. Good luck with it.

I was thinking the same thing.......

Tom, I'm really sorry about your car. Glad your ok. Let us know about your next FD. Makes me wonder how many "street" FD's are left, with as many crashes, and parts cars as we see the number has got to be droping fast.
