IT. BACK. OUT.

not even for the sake of curiosity or experimentation is this a good idea. its just an all around waste of time. when you reach the point that you realize that, it will be too late. so go, do the swap and then try and convince yourself that it was worth it to take apart a running car and rig an fd just for the sake of being able to say you have one. going off the context clues and the fact that youve provided no reasonable explanation as to why you went this route, it can only be concluded that is in fact the reason.

good luck and believe in yourself, since no one else does
Hey thanks for your encouragement and kind words. You really sound like a man of integrity, respect, and positive candor. Ma and Pa are so proud!

What has my curiosity, is you said you wouldn't put a 12a into anything, why is that, if you don't mind me asking, I mean.

There was a black 12a powered fd for sale in orlando earlier this year. I think he wanted 12k for it. It looked like a zombie car. An ABSOLUTE mess of wiring and things hanging all over the place. This is the path you're on. I imagine when he was hacking that car together he had the same mentality as you.

Also, I am technically an aircraft electrician as well. I have my elements 1,3 and 8 along with my ncat. In no way does aircraft electronics help with this situation.....other than proper wiring techniques. Theres no way around what you're doing. It's going to end up as a mess that's been tossed together. Just the same as everyone else it's going to be s situation of "this is just the temporary set up. Just to get it running". Lame excuse for trying to pass poor work.

You're seriously going to great lengths to bastardize an fd just for the sake of doing it. Have some patience and do it right the first time. It seems there was nothing wrong with your fc. Why couldn't you have just had both cars. Kept the running FC and continued living your life while building the fd properly in the background?
So glad I do not live in Orlando anymore. Someone actually went to the lengths to put a 12a into an FD? I believe you, but my 'dafuq, why' feeling is so strong right now. Was it at least a Jspec 12a turbo..? Lol.

I just realized this is like a reverse Fiero/Ferrari replicar. Someone go buy a Testarossa roller and swap a Pontiac V6 and trans-axle in it.

imagine the worst example possible. it had a carb and everything. if i can find the pictures of it, i will post them. im pretty sure i screen shot it. i just need to scroll until i find it lol

edit...

i found it. seems my memory of the situation is a little hazy
i may be remembering it when it when it went back up for sale or something because i remember pillar pods and a disaster of a machine

Wow..What a mess of a car. I feel bad for that FD. Also, I'm not surprised by any means that it was posted on tampa racing. I stopped looking at those boards around 2007. Wonder if XAT Racing had anything to do with that build. lol, actually it's not an SR, so no, probably not.

That is such a cluster of wiring, mounts, etc. What a waste of time.
