13B-REW Rebuild
I have access to a motor lift and I'm looking at buying an RX7 that needs a rebuild, how hard and exspensive do you think it would be for me to rebuild the motor? Any information would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hard to do? Nope. Hard to do right? Yes.
There is a video you can purchase which can help you:

As for cost, it really depends on what is damaged with your current engine. Basically, once you tear the engine down, you need to spec everything out. Anything that is not in spec needs to be replaced. That's when it can get VERY expensive if you have to start replacing rotors and/or housing. A rebuild kit is usually around $1100.

It can be as hard and expensive as you want to make it. I just recently finished up my own rebuild. In my opinion, it was extremely easy (but I've rebuilt dozens of piston motors). Shoot, even for someone that never built an engine in their life, it would probably be extremely easy. Especially with the welth of info available here (shop manual, videos, hundreds of threads on the club, etc).
As far as the cost goes with my personal rebuild: At first, I was trying to get away with keeping the cost at or around ~1k. But as I got into, I ended up getting over excited, and spent probably 3-4 times that (porting, machining, powdercoating, new turbos, IC setup, all new belts and hoses, etc, etc, etc). If you keep inner-self controlled, and are smart about it, you can get away with a fairly inexpensive rebuild.
So like I said, it can be as easy/difficult and cheap/expensive as you want to make it.
