13B-REW and 13B-RE Similarities

I'm curious as to what the similarities are between the RE and REW 13Bs?

Would/Will REW parts work on RE? Like I'm curious mostly about the piece that connects the throttle Body and the iC piping together, injectors, and Fuel rail.

Anything else interchangable?

I know the rotors and such are all the same but I'm not finding any info other than they are both very simmilar.

You can use the manifolds from the RE, I would love to get my hands on the RE's manifolds. They are so nice!

Well I'm ordering parts for my RE build. So I'm hoping that they are VERY similar to 3rd gen REWs.

This picture is of the area of concern... does anyone know if it is the same as the REW?

the TB's are different, but you can use an REW TB on an RE UIM or vice versa.

The REW TB is better.

The intake elbow is also different, they are specific to eiher the RE or REW TB respectively.

Though I do think its slightly larger (going by memory and eyeballs not measurements), when I say its better I mean that it doesn't have the double throttle. In the REW the double throttle is in the UIM, in the RE the double throttle is in the TB.

I have a set of RE intake manifolds.

I'm currently trying to source a 20B throttle Body ( want the A.I.C.) and also the 20B throttle body is larger...

here is a link that I'm currently working on reviving.

Right this makes sense, where they are talking about an adapter, the adapter came attached to an FD throttle body I purchased, I didn't reliseze until now that it wasn't a stock part.

If I remember correctly the RE and REW engines have different engine mount locations on the block, making the swap more difficult.

I'm planning on putting the RE in a first gen so It'll mount up no problem but I want to mod it and build power. ie 450+ HP

I'll need to upgrade the injectors and such i know... so i was wondering about fuel system mostly and if the REW and RE are the same where your piping from the intercooler connect to the throttle mount up. I'd like to get the Greddy compression elbow and put it on a RE witht he RE manifold. Could you messure the bolt holes possible one both the RE and REW? See the picture above to see what exactly I'm looking at.

Also parts wise would Tubeo 2 engine parts work on a RE or would some REW parts work on and RE?

(This is my 100th post!!!)

Can you get the butterfly dimensions on the RE and REW throttle bodies? I'm having a hard time finding info on which is bigger.

Thanks. Seems kind of silly that the RE thottle body is smaller than the REW when the intake runners are 30% larger. I'm just trying to decide if having the throttle body modified to accept +4mm throttle blades is a worthwhile mod. Form what you just told me, it is.
