ZE HK is crazy. The most super cars I have ever seen in one place was HK during a wedding banquet. HK is where fast cars go to hard park and maybe do a late night mountain run. The fact that car costs 2 to 3 times what it does here makes it even crazier. Our friends bought a Touareg like ours to get around town. Here they could have bought the Cayene turbo for the price they paid.
Isn't it also the largest amount of Rolls in any one place?

Exotics are everywhere, people got money, GTRs are like our Honda Civic and Bimmers Mercedes are like our Camry and Accord. So true about the hard parking lol, cars there represent your wealth, not really for enjoyment since 95% of the street has speed limit of 40-80km/h.

Kidding aside I know why BMW drivers are driving like A-holes.
When we got our first BMW it always felt like we were driving incredibly slow even when going 85-90 on the highway.
I have driven high end cars from Lamborghini's to Z06's to FD's with full race setups and the BMW feels like it's going slow.
So when everyone is driving around at speed limits if frustrates you and you want to get around them.
Because it feels like you are crawling.
Then if someone is in fast lane pacing the car to their right and never getting over... Well there ya have it. My reasoning behind why BMW drivers are ******.

^Yep BMW's handle speed extremely well. That was the 1st thing I noticed about my my M5 while driving it back home after picking it up. I'm getting ready to sell it so I can upgrade to an 2008 Audi A8. Can't wait to see how that one performs.

lmao! i know a lot of people with Audi's and they all have horror stories. the A4's are all dead/gone now, but my A4 friends used to carry a set of extra coils in the glovebox because they didn't want to be towed home AGAIN.
Ok guys what year audi we talking about? Not hearing anything positive post warranty period at all. I mean are these older models or what? I here the same thing about the 3 series BMW. The A8 I'm buying, I read nothing but great reports on the reliability of the engine, transmission, and Quattro system. Drive train reliability are the major things I worry about with used cars. I can put up with most electrical glitches as most vehicles are full of them now and days.

I'm a VW/Audi mechanic, or at least that is my specialty. I will say this about them: When they are working properly and well maintained, they USUALLY do pretty well. If they are not cared for, they can be trouble. Even if they are cared for they can be trouble.
CEL are very common, Coils are very common even on the relatively new 2.0T FSI engines...
On the flipside, my 96 TDI with 256,000 has been trouble free. Rebuilt the front end @ 180K, clutch @ 192K. Starter twice, 1 set of glow plugs...
Other than a newer TDI (getting 45+ MPG) or a GTI, I'm not interested in getting a another VW.

I was hot on the idea of putting the VW W8 engine out of a Passat in my RX-8 until I started reading up and talking to VW mechanics and realized it has a worse service record than any rotary.
I still wonder if I eliminated the balance shafts, variable cam timing, etc that fail if it could be a viable motor. Its same weight and length as 13BREW so it would have great vehicle dynamics (apart from its comparatively huge top heavyness) and flat crank V8 aural bliss.
13B-REW swap still makes too much sense from a convenience, cost and RELIABILITY stand point- which is a lot to say when you are talking about Mazdas lemon bomb engine/car the FD.

I originally bought my M5 to balance out the Fd. I needed a grown up vehicle and I wanted something fast and luxurious. I found myself driving it like an old school Cadillac and never really pushing it. This time around pure luxury is why I'm buying. A little back story. I bought my 2000 M5 after being the highest bidder on ebay back in 2009. Well I flew one way to Dallas to pick it up and drive home. The dealer sent a driver to pick me up and he was in a 2006 Audi A8. The minute I sat in the passenger seat, my jaw dropped.
I told the driver could I have this one instead. Lol! Either way, I knew right then that was gonna be my next purchase. I'm pretty confident about the particular year model I'm buying based in my research. The A8L with v8 will suit me just fine.

e39 bimmers are the smoothest cars I've ever ridden in, which includes the e60, e46, f10, etc. It's going to have to be one hell of an audi to top the great all around package of a bimmer.

Due to having a young child I opted for an E55 with all the Renntech goodies and e63 front end. It's a legit 11 second daily driver but I just pray the auto trans holds up. Pretty funny igniting the rear tires at 60mph in a 4 door Mercedes. A little more torque than my rx7s.

I thought I read that the rear suspension and/or the subassemblies were total crap that literally come apart after 75K miles, though I've never ventured over to their forums to even bother confirming.
My buddy actually had this happen on his 325. His family is in europe so they informed him of the recall. He ended up bringing it up to BMW USA and they did it "under warranty".

Well I was never a fan of my cars interior. It's kinda bland even though it has the two tone grey/black leather. The Audi just blows it away in that department IMHO.
