RocketZ RZ 99 Spec wing
What's up guys,
I've been trying to find a thread on the RocketZ or RZ 99 spec wing. Has anyone bought ad installed it? They run $200 - $250 and appear to be a pretty close replica to the 99 for a fraction of the price, not to mention they aren't impossible to find.

I have removed one of those replicas at least, and i can say that its miles away from the OEM wing. If you put 250 on the table for a replica, i would say that if you double that price and get a real wing 450+ you get 4x the value.
Replicas are flimsy and does not mount well. The fiberglass is cheap and after a year or two the paint will start to get bubbles and spots.

I've actually had one of those wings in my hands and it's complete garbage. Not even comparing it to an oem it's trash. If you use that you will be disappointed. It's just poorly and very cheap. It feels like a Styrofoam toy in your hands. Those mount inserts aren't installed very well either. They will separate from the wing and fall inside then you will have to cut the thing open to do anything about it. I know this because the one I held that happen. It's trash and it absolutely reflects the price in quality. Oem wings aren't hard to come by. If you buy that, you will be more into it trying to get it fit then what you would have spent on a real one.
i don't think I have to mention it but that car on the website doesn't have that wing installed. The car in the picture has a real 99 wing on it.

To counter the two points above, I have this wing on my car. It is not terrible, maybe I got a good one? My wife surprised me with it for one of our anniversaries.
The good:
It does look the part and it's adjustable like a real one.
I did a lot of wet sanding to get it "perfect" before painting.
The bad:
Kinda light weight. The mounting points are not OEM and are not very easy to access. I used a ratcheting 1/4" wrench with a Phillips bit in it to do the installation.
No gaskets or templates. I used a peel and stick foam sheet and plumber's caulk around the screw holes. For the template, traced it on wax paper then set the wing. Then prayed and drilled.
It is not an exact copy, so you can't use any of the cool aftermarket doodads. For example the Odula insert or carbon end cap covers.
I'll post some pictures of mine so you can compare, but as the others have said, the real thing would have been better. You wouldn't know me is a copy unless you really know these cars.

I have this
I bought this wing and am now worried. Lol. Had a shop paint it and mount it. I’ve seen pictures, but because of my job I haven’t been able to see it in person. Hoping for the best.

from this pic it looks backwards , I’ll admit. But it could also be the way the picture was taken. Hoping for the best.
