If you find where all the battery covers disappeared to let us know. I believe both RHD and LHD have suffered from the loss.
The plastic cover makes the metal sill plates look shabby. It pulls off though. And surprise, nice shiny sill plate underneath!
Good for the next 25 years!
Yeah. I'll eventually take off the plastic (the clear plastic that is on it from the factory that should be removed when it sold) off the sills. Just want to talk to someone before I start pulling to make sure that whatever I use to remove the adhesive glue won't damage the plastic underneath.
Took a tour of some keen roads on Vancouver Island with some members from Qualicom.
Took the two hour ferry north to Nanaimo from Tsawwassen. Then met up with the island folk and ran up to Campbell River on the "old" Island Highway (curvy and freshly paved).
Then back down the four lane paradise called highway 19.
Almost no cars on the road and those that were were all cruising at 140 kmph.
On the way up island, stopped at Macs at Fanny Bay for "lunch". Went inside, nothing but cold steel counters and they were only selling fresh oysters by the bag.
My craving for fresh oyster tacos will have to wait for another trip.
Black car below is a 1995 Type R Bathurst X. A rare find. (Original car would have had a "whatetail" spoiler, suitable for the location.)
Modded silver car belongs to IslandFD, as seen sometimes in these pages.
Started off with heavy rain, but it lifted and we had mostly dry roads after that.
Killer Whales off to port! SUV "sushizume". FD Hot Wheel in the gift shop. A good omen!

^ That's pretty cool, one of my childhood friend recently migrated to Vancouver, she is also visiting Vancouver Island this weekend. I also have a distanced relative retired out there but I didn't have enough time to take the ferry out last time I was there, maybe next time. We did rent a boat out to see whales tho, and one came up within touching distance by the boat!
Wow! exciting looking car. Hope to see more of it once it lands up in Utah.
If those are real Ganador mirrors you have hit a jackpot.
Looking at them in other pics & judging by the full list of mods, it’s likely they are. There are several things I am removing, and replacing back to normal though. Wish this car wasn’t gutted, it was definitely a track car once upon a time. Thanks
Gonna hope the car arrives un-touched. Anyone have an idea of the front bumper? It’s a zenki style for sure, and not a half bumper. Looks like the Aussie “SP2” but not exactly it.
Looking forward to getting into the FD mix, and RHD crowd here seems chill, some amazing cars just in this thread.
I’ll be in search of the rear seats and some misc interior bits too. Feel free to PM me if you happen to see this thread and are stripping down your interior.
