I would expect a bit more power at 14psi, but every car is different and that's still a solid number. Pops for functional seq twins, they are a blast to drive
I would dial down the boost a bit, the stock twins won't last long at that boost level. I've been running my twins at 14psi for about 10 years / 12k miles and it is starting to smoke under boost

in all honesty, i a have a single conversion and a street port in the works, i just want to see how long the twins will last LOL
Last Thursday we had a six (6) inch snowfall during rush hour which forced closure of all the main bridges over the Fraser. Commuters were stuck for up to 15 hours. Main roads were all clear by today and I went for a cruise on the ring roads that were so jammed two days earlier. But first dropped by to drop of a toy at a toy drive held at a local high end car storage facility. Found one of our local Spirit R sitting forlornly outside. Unplated. At least it had some nice company.
After months of searching and then waiting for the whole process I'm able to make my RHD post. Still waiting on the title work and such to be completed but I was at least able to pick the car up from the importer and get my temp tags and registration. Car is a 94 Type R with ~74,000 KMs. Essentially a USDM R2 with back seats. I was pretty set on a CW or an RZ. I found an RZ but accident history made me shy away from it (still don't know if I should have bought it or not.) Either way, I'm super happy with this purchase. Great compression, starts great hot and cold. I still have to go through everything before I start boosting much. I'm pretty sure this sat for a long time. I need to make sure the fuel system and all maintenance is up to par. I won't be able to really dig into the car for a couple weeks just due to the holidays and everybody being on vacation at work so I'll be pretty swamped. All I've done is wash the car and pull the fuel pump to make sure the tank isn't rusted out. There are some white corrosion spots which is to be expected but clean other than that. I cleaned what I could reach and now a few tanks with cleaner are in store followed by a new fuel filter. 44K usually does wonders for cleaning fuel systems from my experience. Car is stock aside from an unknown brand catback, ohlin coilevers, steering wheel, shift **** and Defi gauges. I've already got an Efini steering wheel that is going on and a shift **** with matching ebrake handle that I snagged from Rich. Super excited to be back in an FD again.

Been super busy, too busy to really go through the car but I was able to put on the Efini steering wheel, ebrake handle and shift **** on my lunch break the other day. Here are a few pictures of the before and after. Interior is super clean. The R series seats are in great shape and have always been my favorite. Just these parts make the car feel so much better. I will need to get matching boots down the road.
I filled it up with fuel today and added 44k. Letting it soak and work its magic. I plan on changing the fuel filter after a tank or two. I have no idea how long this sat prior to purchase but my experience with any vehicle that sits with ethanol based fuel means injectors get gummed up a bit along with other parts of the fuel system. 44k has cleaned up more than one system for me.
@boostin13b techron fuel system cleaner. If it has sat for a while, run a few big bottles through the gas tank. Stuff works well and covers the entire fuel system.

My car sat for 2 years prior to running.
I've been using BG 44k for years with good results. Even better is 3M fuel injector cleaner but my adapter wasn't returned to me and I don't want to spend $400 on another one. The 3M stuff works wonders in a hurry and requires the adapter because you run the vehicle strictly on the can of cleaner and no fuel.
I don't want to check the boost pattern until the cleaner has done its job but just giving it light throttle it seems the first turbo is very responsive and reached 8 lbs quickly.

I found a lot of the rubber vacuum hoses on mine were rock hard and a few not sealing correctly.
I went through and replaced 90% of them as well as the check valves. And some of the solenoids.
definitely made a noticeable difference

The ones I can reach are rock hard. A bunch of new hose and the rats nest job is in my future. I haven't done it on an FD in over 15 years, I'm sure my back will not be happy with me.

Still sequential then. Nice!
Yep, I wanted as close to stock as possible and sequential, I plan to keep it sequential. One of my favorite things about FDs. When running properly, they feel amazing.
Here is a link to what I believe is a list of re-issue parts by Mazda. There seems to be a lot of vacuum hoses on the list. Replacing with genuine new parts will help keep the OEM look of your engine bay.

I remember reading at some point in the last couple years that some Mazda Speed parts were also still available. I'm mainly looking to snag those for suspension parts such as bushings for the future. I'm definitely trying to stay close to OEM for most everything aside from basic BPU stuff.
A few warm days prompted the first pop up meet for the local JDM underworld. We dropped in with our RHD FD to present a lifesize Daikoku diorama in the middle of the chaos.
