yeah, there are lots of aspects of this design I'm not satisfied with, still haven't even decided to follow through with the full build, have many projects that are getting more momentum.

Yeah I remember the mentioning of this on another forum years ago surprised to see it pop up again and so recent. I was impressed then as I am now would definitely love to see a physical model even at a small scale. Impressive work in solid works

If it was offered right now as a new car for sale I would say it is one of the better looking new cars for sale.
My only advice would be keep to your overall design and just simplify it a bit losing some of the details, but gaining a more classic look that won't become dated.
And I speak from absolutely no authority or training- just another opinion.

I like some of the parts you pointed out. I'm not going to spend 15k on a body kit that doesn't make it look exotic. I guess everybody has their own opinions...

The points that you sited that have already been addressed are -
- the up sweeping curve forward of the rear fender, the new line terminates into the fender but is in danger of looking too C7-ish.
- the two fangs in the front air dam are remaining and are a que carried over from the 99 spec bumper. The other fangs in the outlets are gone, the side vent on the front bumper is much smaller too.
- The under skirts are all gone(chin spoiler and side skirt) gives it a much more OEM feel.
-The rear remains the same.
This is exactly why I didn't want to start posting too early, the design has already evolved away from these images.

Well, like I said- I love the design.
Just some nitpicking on details I saw that could help it look more "timeless" in my opinion.
Also note, I didn't bother to redraw it with the changes so no idea how it would look "the way I think it shoud be".
I did get the '99 reference in the front opening "fangs".

Whoa there. I was just posting my preferences. Like I said I don't speak from any authority or training.

Blue I actually really like his design and for several reasons. I think it is very interesting what some people find appealing and what others do not. Unlike some if the things that you pointed out as 'why', I feel that it is those details that make this design stand out from all of the others. Personally I feel that is what makes this kit look professional.
For instance, you pointed out that line on the side opening of the front bumper. I see that detail and I can tell the designer put in time to visually connect functional aspects of the kit to make it aesthetically appealing. What I mean is that line on side vent connects the front air dam/oil cooler duct opening with the front fender's brake caliper's air dam. See pic and you will see what I mean:
You also asked about that hole on the top of the front fender. If it's functional it would be for the use of creating positive air pressure in the engine bay and therefore ultimately help in reducing heat. Also under the 'what is that' that would appear to be an air dam increasing the efficiency of the side step. Granted I could be wrong as I know very little about fluid mechanics but that's what those details appear to be.

I am glad you are providing your opinion as well.
I don't see the visual connection between the strake in oil cooler exit and the front wheel fender cut out.
I see the connection between the top of the oil cooler exit and the top of the front wheel fender cut out- so the revised render looks better to me.

No, I circled and "WHY"ed that as well because of the strake running through the vent.
The "WHAT IS THAT?" on the side skirt could be a vortex generator to increase the effective height of the side skirt, except that job would be better done with the lower piece of the front wheel fender cut out in my opinion.
I prefer "integration" to the "tacked on" aero look.
I am not trying to sway your opinion, just clarify my stance.

Even the Pagoda Honda tail lights are growing on me!
Every design needs something a little funky to set it apart and it was the tail lights on the original FD as well.
I like the clean revised line from the rear decklid.
One could even continue that line to make a cut line there for a separate bumper without detracting too much from the overall looks.

What if the rear tail light area was filled in/had wrap around tail lights like the 2012 Aston Martins, Vantage, rapide etc.
You could still have the spoiler sticking out over them and the bumper coming out from under.

you mean like the car glow shop lights? I like the concept of the CGS lights but the execution and design are mehhhh at best.
The new lights I'm planning will look great, a lot of people are jumping the gun, really appreciate the feed back but 90% of the design is already determined just a matter of creating the digital models.
