I like it. It vaguely reminds me of the VeilSide Fortune body kit.

I love the side. The rear is good. The front not so much, doesnt resemble an updated fd there

The closest thing to the FD is the roofline and door, which stands to reason.

It's great looking. I'd drive it. It's not quite the timeless design of the FD, but I'd say mission accomplished in terms of an updated, aggressive design that looks like a current Mazda.

I wonder where the project really is in terms of development.

Something like that... they just need to offer it as a kit car like factory five does. build a tube chassis and body panels. have it accept the engine, transmission, and suspension from the FD. And I bet they could sell that for 10-15k

Yep again though good luck building it for anywhere near 15k

I'd guess just this body kit would be 10 plus

I love everything about it (even the fact that it doesn't resemble the fd much). Nice and exotic looking. Looks like a perfect candidate a 4 rotor.

Yeah that is a rather good looking. The best modern iteration so far? I think so.

But if that is a kit: Man I'd have a hell of a hard time chopping my FD to fit that (money aside of course).

I feel the same! Now this would be perfect for a damaged restoration project.

Maybe that's what the next RX7 "should "look like (if there ever is one)

Its about time someone with a little more conservative taste than Amemiya San starts doing full rebodies for the FD chassis to generate interest in the old platform that still has so much potential.

I would rather see what could be done on the RX-8 chassis (something Maserati Alfieri like?) as its more abundant/more modern features/cheaper and possibly even higher potential.

V8 RX-8s with a distinctive body. Someone go!

Hey guys looking through the forums, didn't even see this until this evening. Yes I am in the midst of creating this as a kit. Like some of you have speculated it will be quit expensive when done but it will include new headlight housings with Hella bi-xenons and new LED tail lights and to be honest that is a huge expense.
I already have two customers waiting for the first few kits, so feel free to further the discussion here or through pm.
Its not at the stage that I want to start getting too specific but when that time comes I will make sure to do a build thread.

I love this ! Amazing style

The Front reminds me of the Genki7 and the rest is great. I Particularly like the rear , fills it out nice and fat !
