Love that this thread is still active for the last 16 years! So cool seeing all the rare parts that are now near impossible to find and when newer members are lucky enough to obtain “grailed” items

This thread was one of the first that I subscribed to when I joined the forum. It also showed me a bunch of parts that I thought only existed in catalogs, one of which being the Mazdaspeed Performance Bar Set. Flash forward to summer 2023 and was able to get one of my "grail" parts from a mislabeled Yahoo Auctions listing, though I am missing the mounting bracket for the front part. Honestly thought that I would never find a set for sale or be able to afford it if I did. Eventually I'll make a mega post with all my rare bits.

ohhhh.. congrats!
yeah, gotta be scouring the auction site like a hawk. A lot of offerings up there if you’re able to search around..
The hardest thing is winning it. Beat the others with a stick sometimes to win what you want.
same. I run an import business so I’ve spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on items off YAJ over the years. I never seem to keep much of anything for myself though

If i bought a large item on YAJ, would you be able to bring it in? Lol

Following up on this post: Have you put together this mega post on all the rare parts. Curious minds want to know...

Most of my parts/memorabilia is in storage until my car is further along, and I move into a place with space for me to setup a display. I didn't think to take pictures of everything before storing it away, but I do have some so we can call this a teaser.
Recently installed the OEM optional extra luggage strap, and gave it a test on my Mazda x Dunlop Boston Bag (finally have somewhere to put my Mazdaspeed keychains lol). I also just posted some files for the brackets and hardware needed for the strap, as I have a second one for sale that is missing all of the hardware. I made a post about it here.
The dealer CD for Bose equipped ɛ̃fini vehicles so customers could "experience" the Bose sound quality. Someone created a playlist for it on Spotify which is how I found out about it's existence originally.
And probably one of the coolest pieces in the collection, commemorative 787b statue. Don't know how true it is, but there are supposedly only 55 of these and were given out to high level executives to celebrate the Le Mans win. This was one of the first things I bought off of Yahoo Auctions and I remember it being relisted several times before I finally decided to buy it. I've only seen it mentioned on a long dead Mazda history blog, and briefly in a Rob Dahm video a few years ago. Would honestly love to get some more information on it.
Once I am able to pull everything out of storage, I'll post all the keychains, apparel, brochures, parts, and other miscellaneous clutter that I've managed to collect.
Exclusive pre-order book, complete with order voucher, watercolor, thank you note and solid silver keychain. Given to people that pre-ordered an FD3S in 1991.

There's a pre-order package up on Yahoo right now for 2k. I was tempted until I saw the price lol.
Congrats!
was that the one from the auction? I was keeping an eye on it and the final price was very impressive.
Welcome to the club.
Yup, was from auction! Had to pull the trigger on this one as the other one at the time had a chipped edge and been looking for this hood for years. After I got this one, another one came up for the low low price of 990000 yens ($6935 USD)

Well done! Can’t believe how much these hoods are going for.
