lol... Yep the internet has memory. Actually that forum member and I are friends now... I know I can come off harsh but I don't keep that attitude towards the same person in other threads.

Yeah I used to always defend those that got picked on for aesthetic reasons that did NOT affect performance. That is until MX-3 and his non stop posting of his super rice wing on a stock car came along... After I godzilla'd his *** I could not come back without being a major hyprocrite. *shakes fist* DAMN YOU MX_3!!! lol...

gorgeous... Even when you had the bigger wheels your car looked good.

I'm not sure I won anything (had to leave early) but I had a feeling I wasn't even close. Those were some of the cleanest cars I have ever seen. Those American classics guys know their stuff. There was a really nice GNX there that must have won something.

Yeah I remember you and that dumb *** thread with equally dumb thread name you made. The thread got moderated because everyone got on your case about ******* up a good car and yeah you argued against it… You sure are on your way in proving us wrong aren’t you?
Thanks for schooling me your totally right also thanks for showing me the way. I plan on raising my car and selling it to this old guy down the street that will never drive it because its such a rare car. wait never mind its a 1993 rx7 who gives a **** hahaha

also i didnt erase anything maybe a Mod did because they get butt hurt every time i post something they dont like

It wasn't this mod, but keep posting things like that ^^ and you'll be enjoying a vacation soon..... I see you contributing exactly nothing to this forum thus far, and instead stirring up trouble and behaving like an immature teenager.

Thanks man. I wasn't really near my car. I was checking out the other ones. There was a really nice Bel Air there that I loved. Kids and younger people were interested. The classics guys couldn't care less. Honestly, the car needed some detailing so I'm not to surprised. My bodyshop drove it out to their show and only did some minor cleaning of the windows (which still look like crap). There was a thin layer of dust all over the car as well.

I'll get some shots! I don't have a nice camera right now so it might be a while. I'm just really proud of how the interior panels came out. The grey looks AMAZING. I'd post the pics I have but I don't want to clutter the thread with more of my subpar pics. I actually bought spirit r interior pieces so they can get paint and texture matched and even have the coin holders on the shifter consoles as well.

Thanks Charlie. That means alot coming from you. Car has come a long way right? You're right about the spacers. You are definitely not the first person to say so haaa. Its hard to look at the sunken in tires after you picked out those RPF1s for me. A flusher fitment is definitely something I would like to do but if I run spacers, my lugs won't have much to grab on to. I have to research offset spacers more but from what I gather, it looks like the spacer has to be thick enough to clear the original wheel studs right? I think that might be to much. I'll have to see, or maybe Rich and Dan will haaaaa.

You could use 15mm spacers like this... (15mm is the thinnest I found in spacers like this)

These are bit safer... but added weight.. LOL!

But personally, I know the current trends are to push the wheels out, but sometimes some things are meant to be how the designer of the car made it to be.

+1 on this. and don't destroy that sweet stock looking. you modified your car to look like "that look" in the first place.

well thats not necassarily true. designers dont design the cars to have such conservative fitments. these fitments from factory are created with many different aspects in mind, such as, cost, tire size and cost of that tire size, weight, and also road noise

obviously in a car that doesnt cost as much as a porsche the fitment has to become more conservative because it has to be able to still be cost effective for the customers who buy them

more wheel = more metal = more tire...more of anything = more money

the fitment that i have on my car right now has no rubs and has no adverse effects on the car at all, its actually better because it provides more grip, its just too expensive for the factory to do this kind of fitment and tire size

plus i'm sure they factor in what the rx7 is and they build the car accordingly and take into account that 99.9% of owners will be modifying the car

so if you're going for the fully bone stock look, then thats great and more power to you, but the original designers didnt have the car looking the way it is because the concept cars have more aggresive fitments...the production engineers are the ones that do that change

How do you equate rubbing the **** out of your tires on a simple road trip to not driving the car at all . You can't... They are two completely different things, therefore your rebuttle is invalid. The best part about this whole thing is that your car fails at the most simplistic level (driving) and yet you still think you can be a smartass . Dude no matter what you say, how you justify it, and how you reason it: YOUR CAR IS STILL A FAILURE.

I said the thread got MODERATED. Meaning a moderator stepped in and erased posts. Then again you are they guy who can't even drive down the street and yet still thinks he has a point

To keep in the spirit of the thread and so my post doesn't get deleted:

While I do want to deter too much conversation in the pics thread, you need to figure out what is the final offset you would like to have. Then see what's available in spacers to get you there. You can run a 5mm spacer without changing your studs. I have 17x9 +43 wheels with a 5mm spacer in the rear which effectively make the rear a +38 without any additional changes.
