After reading several threads on this topic I have a few questions for the group. It is stated the the GM thermosensor mounted between the IC and the TB has a faster response than the OEM sensor and prevents the possibility of heat soak forcing a lean condition. That sounds like a good thing. So here's the questions...

1- Can you use the GM sensor with the PFC?
2- If the answer is yes, what is the part number of this sensor or some other reference to help ID it?
3- Does anyone have any specific experience with the GM thermosensor / PFC combo that they would like to share.

You guys haven't kept up with the PFC Forum thread, this sensor is not a suitable replacement for the FD sensor. The voltage response curves are different. You could use it but would need to remap the air temp correction table.

Thanks for the info in the GM Thermosensor. I guess I will just put another FD sensor upstream of the TB.

how would you use 2 FD sensors and what would be the advantage of this? I have 2 I just see no point. I have one in the greddy elbow right now

I guess you could plug the mounting hole in the UIM or leave the that sensor in place...either way, you can only hook up one to the ECU whether it be the original or the newly mounted one upstream of the TB

good thread...I was thinking of getting the gm unit since I read it reacted faster but obviously not now
