fuel question/ injector

bought a basket case 93 automatic w 78k and cannot figure this thing out. car floods all the time, bought it started it w/ ether drove it home, lacked power didn't smoke though and ran poor at idle.

popped hood
vac lines misrouted fixed that
rebuilt turbos
replaced gaskets on whole UIM
tried to start flooded.

talked to turbo jeff, thanks for the help by the way, told me to pull fuel rail on primary and secondary should find leaky injector. weren't leaking at 40 psi, hooked up test light at the injector to insure pulse and injector firing when turning over engine. light flashes for about 3-5 seconds then doesn't flash and injector stops firing. this isn't normal right??

I have also heard that there are certain areas in the wiring harness that should be repaired any pointers on that??

ecu is out of a juck yard so that is suspect as well but any other ideas gentlemen??

thanks to all that help salvage what is left of my sanity!!

Dan

As far as the ECU being out of a junkyard, I don't think it would present an issue. They usually work or they don't.

Have you tried starting the car with the pedal floored?

yep still won't start, thats what I mean i have ideas on what to do i just don't want to start throwing parts at it!! that is the expensive way to go. I hear that there are a few places ion the wiring harness that are prone to damage from there location, well what location? I will put it back together from my injector test on wensday and see what happens.

Thanks for the reply

get a fuel gague and put it in the feed line
turn the car on and see the press
turn car off and see if press drops
if it drops re-press the lines and pinch the feed before the gague
pinch the return line
watch the press if it drops an injector is stuck open
