Your dream FC3S

heh.. I know this was posted a long time ago in the summer, but I didn't think you guys would mind if I posted this again. perspectives change, right?

Now your dream cant be like the speedmachineperformance car for example, cause thats not your dream, thats theirs

Mine, simple.

My dream FC is to find a bone stock S5 GXL with no body damage and all stock items still in tact to some degree.
I'd get the engine rebuilt and cleaned up real nice, and I'd redo all the emissions and vac lines and everything, it would be totally bone stock, nothing performance added, like as if it came out of the factory. Wouldn't that be nice?

What would you guys do?

Heh... im interested to see what reted and NZ have for dreams

Vert with a reni motor, and like new seats/interior, slightly more refined suspension.

mmm... 13b-re, standalone, V-mount and some nice little ball bearing turbo making around 320-350hp at the wheels, the most tuned suspension possible, 17x10 +12 formula mesh wheels all around with 235 tires underneath the stock fenders(), panspeed or old RE front, factory side skirts, and wangan type rear spoiler. perfect condition interior in the front, but no sound deadening, and the rear stripped. full cage, a nice drivers seat, and suede steering wheel.

or just a perfect condition, all original, all stock S5 TII.... err.. a completely 100% restored one with ALL new parts.

i've always had this inner desire to try a dual turbo setup on a rotary using small bb turbo's (non sequential i guess) in an FC. it surely would be different from everyone else

All right, my dream FC. Well, first of all, the engine would be a supercharged and streetported 20b (with 9.7:1 compression rotors, and 3mm ceramic apex seals) with a cvt pulley running the supercharger, rigged to the in-car computer (more on that later). For EMS, the Motech M880 package with telemetry sensors would be used. The intake would be mounted on the underside of the car (more on that later, too). The radiator would be have dual copper cores, 2 1/4" thick each. An air-to-water intercooler would be mounted on the underside, as well (again, more on that later). The flywheel would be a 9-10lb one, mated to a twin puck clutch. The transmission would be a ferrari seven speed, with a carbon fiber driveshaft, and a nice strong differential, and a final drive ratio of 4.3:1.
The wheels would be 17" 255mm 3 piece wheels, with magnesium hub. Brakes would be a brembo big brake kit, and if the car didn't have ABS, it would be installed. Suspension would be the Tein FLEX with the EDFC control system. Tie rods would be modified to allow the wheels to turn up to 50 degrees.
An 8 point roll cage with door reinforcement and mounting points for cameras would be installed, but with lightweight custom interior work to minimize how obvious the rollcage is. All body panels would be replaced with a widebody carbon fiber kit, with non pop-up headlights. The cf hood would be similar to the stock TII hood, but with a small cal induction.
Also, on the underside of the engine compartment would be mounted a small scoop, to channel air from under the car into the intake, and over the intercooler. This would also decrease air pressure on the underside of the car, creating downforce.
All non-transparent exterior surfaces of the car would be coated in a glossy black teflon-based paint, and the windows would be replaced with dark-tinted PCB. The seats would be two racing seats, and the steering wheel replaced with a 330mm one. The in-car computer would be linked to the Motec M880 EMS, and would have an in-dash 7" touchscreen in place of the stock climate and radio control area. In addition to monitoring the EMS, the computer would have controls for the cvt puller for the supercharger, the climate controls, and multimedia entertainment (although I'd only use it for music. Video is dangerous when you're driving.). The sound system would include 2x 6.5" components in the doors, 2x stock size components in the stock speaker location, pod mounted tweeters, and 2x 12" subwoofers in the back.
Overall, the car would be no more than 2300 lbs, and put down, at maximum boost, 550+ rwhp. Umm... I think that's about it...
