this is probably a stupid question and not even worth starting a new thread for but oh well im new and here goes.

What is an FC? and what referance does it make to an RX-7?

Well the fc refers to fc3s the second generation rx7,
fb is the firs gen, and fd is the third generation.

fc3s is the chassis code for the second generation body

like what he said its the chassis code

or you can think of it like this
different generations

1st generation rx-7 (1979-1985) = fb3s
2nd generation rx-7 (1986-1992) = fc3s
3rd generation rx-7 (1993+) = fd3s

you can think of it as the cars codename

this is why people who want the fourt generation rx-7 are going to refer to it as a fe3s

if you need to find out what the genrations means....then you should do some of your own searching...

don't worry I was in your boots before....but i searched to find the answer...not asked....but this was back like 4 years ago when i first got into the rx-7.
just follow the saying...if your not sure ask....but you'l have to change the saying for forums like this
"if your not sure then search, and still not sure, then ask"

Look at your VIN number and it will start with FC
